This week, we have the pleasure of presenting the AVID Ingenium turntable. This is an extremely high quality model, using a specific structure, made up of two solid T-shaped aluminium parts, set on three Sorbothane support feet, a polymer material which offers excellent damping properties. This model uses the Avid Diva II turntable rotation system, i.e. a stainless steel thrust point upon which sits a tungsten carbide bearing. Fitted to this is the sapphire disc and platter assembly. This turntable is equipped with a Pro-Ject 9CC carbon fibre tonearm and Nagaoka MP-110 phono cartridge, which can be used with an AVID Pellar RIAA phono preamp. A specific dust cover is available – the AVID Universal Flat Cover.
The M-Audio Super DAC II is a USB-self-powered model with a Wolfson WM8740 24 bit/192 kHz converter, mini-jack line input, S/PDIF coaxial and optical outputs, 3.5 mm mini-jack and 6.35 mm jack headphone outputs, RCA stereo output, volume control on all outputs, input and output selector and sampling frequency indicator.
The M-Audio Micro DAC is a more low-key compact self-powered model which can handle PCM 16 bit/48 kHz audio stream. It is equipped with an S/PDIF coaxial and headphone output and an impedance selector switch.
The M-Audio Bass Traveler is a portable headphone amplifier with a maximum power output of 250 mW/16 Ohms with adjustable gain, 2 headphone outputs and a rechargeable battery with an 8 hour battery life.

The Final Audio Sonorous VIII headphones are a closed over-ear model whose earpieces are fitted with wide 2″ dynamic transducers with a balanced frame, BAM (Balanced Air Movement) technology, capable of 105 dB acoustic pressure (16 Ohms impedance).
The Final Audio Sonorous X hi-fi headphones are a closed over-ear model with two 2″ titanium cone dynamic transducers, using BAM (Balanced Air Movement) technology. Despite their closed design, these headphones succeed in delivering an open sound stage, which is both deep and wide.
Designed by Jakob Wagner, the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H7 Bluetooth headphones are made of high quality materials and benefit from a beautiful finish. They use 1.6″ diameter dynamic drivers, which cover a wide range of frequencies. Each transducer is driven by a powerful neodymium magnet with a bass port which improves the reproduction of the lowest frequencies.
Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H3 ANC earphones are fitted with .4″ diameter dynamic drivers, covering a wide range of frequencies. Each transducer sits inside an aluminium casing which ensures that it is securely fitted in place and offers excellent insulation from any outside interference. The delivery of low frequencies is aided by a bass reflex port which takes the form of decompression vents, offering well defined bass. Sound delivery is clear, precise, powerful and well balanced.
Next up is a new subwoofer from Focal – the Focal Sub 1000F, fitted with a Focal Flax cone. The Focal Sub 1000F subwoofer is a closed model with a 12″ flax cone driver and a powerful 1000 Watt amplifier. This piece of equipment is the ideal companion for the Focal Aria range of speakers, despite being suitable for all types of speakers.
