Flagships of the TCL 2024 TV range, the TCL X955 TVs achieve a brightness of 5000 nits with backlight management over 5000 zones.

TCL has just unveiled its latest Dual-5000 Mini LED innovation that will equip the new TCL X955 high-end TVs! New, brighter Mini LED technology with peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits and 5,000-zone backlight management! TCL has also announced the TCL C955 and TCL C805 QD Mini LED ranges…

5000 nits / 5000 zones

Dual-5000 Mini LED technology uses micro-lenses to improve the light control of each mini LED, drastically reducing halo effects and optimizing viewing angles. This is reminiscent of the OLED Meta technology developed by LG Display for its latest-generation OLED TVs!

A micro-lens on each mini LED increases brightness and ensures better control of light diffusion.

This new mini LED backlighting technology, which can reach peaks of 5,000 nits, should significantly improve image brightness and overall contrast. Brightness management is also provided across 5184 zones.

TV excellence in 85″ and 98″

Dual-5000 Mini LED technology joins the new TCL X955 range, available in 85″ and 98″. These TVs are equipped with a QLED panel covering 98% of the DCI-P3 color space to produce over a billion different shades. Image processing is handled by the TCL AiPQ Processor 3.0, which intervenes in contrast, color, clarity, motion compensation and HDR rendering. It delivers an ultra-realistic image of the highest quality, with accuracy certified by the independent TÜV Rheinland laboratory.

The TCL X955 range includes two models (85″ and 98″).

4K 144Hz, FreeSync Premium Pro, Dolby Vision IQ

Gamers will be pleased to learn that the TCL X955 range is 4K 144Hz compatible, and also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. This ensures perfect image smoothness and ultra-responsive gameplay, with no judder or image tearing. Cinephiles will appreciate the IMAX Enhanced certification and Dolby Vision IQ compatibility of these new TCL TVs.

4.2.2-channel Dolby Atmos

In terms of sound, the TCL 85X955 and TCL 98X955 feature a 160-watt integrated audio system. Designed by Onkyo, it is Dolby Atmos compatible to deploy sound over 4.2.2 channels, to enhance spectator immersion by diffusing 360 degree sound.
The design has not been neglected either, with an ultra-thin chassis, slim bezel and height-adjustable feet with a cable management system.

TCL C955 and TCL C805

TCL has also announced two new QD-Mini LED TV ranges. The TCL C955 range has a peak brightness of 2000 nits. It will be available in 4 sizes: TCL 65C955 (164cm), TCL 75C955 (189cm), TCL 85C955 (215cm) and TCL 98C955 (248cm).

The TCL C805 range (C755 in the USA and Asia), featuring a peak brightness of 1300 nits, is available in 6 screen sizes: 126cm (TCL 50C805), 139cm (TCL 55C805), 164cm (TCL 65C805), 189cm (TCL 75C805), 215cm (TCL 85C805) and 248cm (TCL 98C805).

Both are Dolby Vision/Atmos, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced, 4K 144Hz and FreeSync Premium Pro compatible.
TCL has also unveiled two new very large 4K UHD TVs at very affordable prices, the TCL 85P745 (215cm) and the TCL 98P745 (248cm). All these new TCL TVs are announced for the first half of 2024, along with two new Dolby Atmos TCL soundbars, followed by two Ray-Danz soundbars released later in the year. No prices have been announced yet.
