Now a key player in the world of hi-fi and home theater subwoofers, British manufacturer KEF unveils five innovative new models. This new range includes the long-awaited big brother of the famous KEF KC62, as well as a complete update of the legendary KEF Kube range.

KEF KC92: high performance, compact size

Launched in 2021, the KEF KC 62 has established itself as the benchmark for compact subwoofers thanks to its ability to deliver powerful, deep bass in a format barely larger than a football. A feat made possible by powerful DSPs and an innovative force-cancelling dual driver.

The new KEF KC92 subwoofer uses the same concept in a slightly enlarged format to accommodate two 9″ drivers placed back-to-back. Their aluminum-paper alloy cone maximizes rigidity to minimize distortion at high volume. The P-Flex Surround optimizes driver movement to move large volumes of air. The new KEF KC92 subwoofer delivers ultra-powerful bass down to 11Hz, with a very high sound pressure level of 110 dB. A performance that many larger models would envy!

Thanks to its dual 9″ drivers, the KEF KC92 subwoofer delivers deep, powerful bass down to 11Hz, while maintaining a relatively compact size.

The KEF KC92 subwoofer’s dual drivers are combined with amplification capable of delivering up to 1000W RMS in class D. Its operation is optimized by the powerful Music Integrity Engine digital sound processing system. Introduced with the KEF LS50 Wireless 2 and KEF LS60 connected speakers, this system uses algorithms specifically calibrated to the characteristics of the driver to be powered. In addition, the iBX Intelligent Bass Extension mode optimizes bass depth, allowing you to increase sound levels and acoustic pressure without fear of distortion. Dynamics are also optimized.

With an output of 1000W RMS, the KEF KC92 subwoofer promises to deliver a thrilling experience in any living space, whether for home theater or hi-fi.

The new KEF KC92 subwoofer is now available for pre-order on Son-Vidéo.com at a price of €2,399, with delivery scheduled for the end of April. It’s sure to give you a thrilling experience, whether connected via RCA, LFE or high-level. To adapt perfectly to every type of room, 5 equalizers are available: Room, Wall, Corner, Cabinet and Apartment. These allow bass reproduction to be adapted to the position of the subwoofer in the listening room.

Thanks to its five preset equalizers, the KEF KC92 subwoofer can easily adapt its sound reproduction to its position in the room.

Kube Kube MIE: a perfected range

The British manufacturer has also upgraded its legendary Kube range with the new KEF Kube MIE line. Comprising the KEF Kube 8 MIE, KEF Kube 10 MIE, KEF Kube 12 MIE and KEF Kube 15 MIE models, it features the brand’s exclusive Music Integrity Engine (MIE). Each subwoofer benefits from algorithms specifically calibrated to its driver size and characteristics. The aim is to improve bass depth, dynamics and precision in the low frequencies, according to each diameter.

The new KEF Kube MIE subwoofers take advantage of powerful proprietary algorithms to optimize the power and naturalness of the bass.

KEF Kube MIE subwoofers all use a long-throw driver to deliver bass with palpable force into the room and maximize sound pressure. Cone sizes range from 7.9″ for the powerful, compact KEF Kube 8 MIE to 15″ for the impressive KEF Kube 15 MIE. All are powered by 300W RMS class D amplification and have sealed enclosures. This ensures better reproduction of the various harmonics and nuances, optimizing musical performance.

The KEF Kube MIE subwoofers are suitable for both hi-fi and home theater applications, thanks to their closed-load drivers ranging from 7.9″ to 15″. They add impact to action scenes and depth to music.

The KEF Kube MIE subwoofers feature line-level, LFE and high-level RCA inputs for easy pairing with any amp. As with the KEF KC92, several modes are available to adapt the reproduction to the position of the subwoofer in the room, whether it’s installed on a piece of furniture, against a wall or in a corner. Of course, it is still possible to adjust the cutoff frequency and phase manually.

The new KEF Kube MIE subwoofers are now available for pre-order on Son-Vidéo.com, with delivery scheduled for mid-March. Here are the specifications and prices for each model:
