Klipsch unveils its new outdoor speakers, available in two ranges, RSM and PSM. They replace the AW, CA and CP models. These 2024 outdoor speakers feature the American manufacturer’s new Tractrix Hyperfold technology. More compact, they offer greater installation flexibility and excellent weather resistance.
The new Tractrix Hyperfold port from Klipsch
The Klipsch RSM and PSM speakers have been completely redesigned, incorporating innovations designed to improve their musical quality. Offering a more precise soundstage, the new Tractrix Hyperfold port ensures uniform emission of sound waves in all directions.
This innovative device was developed by Klipsch to widen the flow of the port, allowing maximum power to be achieved at low frequencies. The resulting increase in airflow effectively eliminates unwanted noise. It also offers extensive sound coverage, a feature particularly suited to large spaces.
Elegant, customizable Klipsch outdoor speakers
The Klipsch RSM and PSM outdoor speaker ranges are available in black or white. However, the ABS housing can be painted to match your interior or exterior decor. Smaller than previous models, they are easy to install and can be wall-mounted with their integrated tilting brackets.
What’s more, the RSM range offers IPX5 protection and the PSM range IPX6. The requirements of these standards are quite high, since to obtain this certification, the product must be able to withstand being sprayed by powerful jets of water. This means they’re more than capable of withstanding the elements, or wet environments such as pool surrounds.
Two new ranges of Klipsch outdoor speakers
These new Klipsch outdoor speakers are available in the RSM (Residential Surface Mount) range for home use. They can be used to provide sound for terraces, patios, balconies or verandas, for example. They are available in a range of power levels, to suit a variety of needs, and are powered by a traditional stereo amp.

The PSM (Professional Surface Mount) range is designed for professional installations. They are perfect for bar terraces, in restaurants, swimming pools, jacuzzis, gardens, museums, hospitals, universities and stores. These speakers are equipped with multi-socket transformers, a particularly useful feature for audio systems operating at 70 or 100 volts. For those who don’t need a transformer, a bypass mode is available, offering standard operation at 8 ohms.
