Presented at High End Munich 2024, the Dali Rubikore speaker range inherits the technologies and innovations introduced with the premium Dali Kore models in compact, more affordable formats. With 5 models, this new series promises uncompromising reproduction in both hi-fi and home theater.

The Dali Kore legacy

In 2022, Dali achieved its masterpiece: the Dali Kore. A showcase for the brand, this ultra-high-end speaker, 1.70m tall and weighing over 140kg, is the culmination of many years of research. With its acoustic innovations, it is the Danish manufacturer’s highest-performing product (€80,000 per pair). In 2023, the brand took advantage of the Paris Audio Video Show to present a Light version: the Dali Epikore 11. It’s a little more reasonable, but still impressive, with a weight of 75kg, a height of 1.60m and a price tag of €40,000 per pair. With the new Dali Rubikore range, the manufacturer aims to make the technological innovations introduced by these extraordinary models accessible to as many people as possible.

The ultimate speaker from the Danish manufacturer, the magnificent Dali Kore floorstanding speaker introduced the innovative technologies employed by the new Dali Rubikore range.

A complete range

The new Dali Rubikore range replaces the Dali Rubicon series to form the bridge between the Dali Opticon and Dali Epicon ranges. For this new version, the manufacturer has given itself a thorough overhaul. The internal design of the speakers has been completely reworked: new drivers, new ports, new crossovers and new wiring. These innovations can be found on all five models in the range:

Clari Cone drivers

The drivers used in Dali Rubikore speakers are directly derived from the Dali Kore and Epikore 11. The 6.5″ cone, shared by all the speakers in the range, benefits from Clari Cone technology, which uses a paper and wood-fiber structure with a thin, lightweight rubber edge. This process, tried and tested on the brand’s flagships, maximizes the precision and finesse of midrange details. The magnet system uses the manufacturer’s exclusive SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) technology and a double magnet to limit distortion and maximize the naturalness of the listening experience. This driver is used as a single unit on the Dali Rubikore 2 and Dali Rubikore On Wall speakers, as a duo on the Dali Rubikore 6 and Dali Rubikore Cinema and as a trio on the Dali Rubikore 8, one model of which is specifically dedicated to bass.

The 6.5″ drivers used in the Dali Rubikore speakers (here the Dali Rubikore 8) benefit from Clari Cone and SMC technologies to limit distortion and maximize naturalness.

Hybrid tweeter

With the exception of the Dali Rubikore 2 bookshelf, all speakers in the Dali Rubikore range benefit from the same hybrid tweeter. It combines the best of a 1.1″ soft dome and a planar ribbon tweeter. The diameter of the dome model is much larger than average, extending the diffusion area and ensuring greater stability when power is ramped up. This also enables it to descend lower in frequency, offering greater precision in the upper midrange. The ribbon tweeter takes over from 14kHz to 34kHz. It brings transparency and depth to the soundstage.

The Dali Rubikore speakers (except Rubikore 2) feature a hybrid tweeter for an extended harmonic range and greater detail in the highs and upper mids.

On the Dali Rubikore Cinema and Dali Rubikore On Wall speakers, the two tweeters are mounted on a single swivel plate. As a result, the speakers are always optimally phased, whether positioned horizontally or vertically. This dual configuration offers a major advantage in home theater, with the possibility of using them as front, center or surround speakers.

The ingenious double tweeter of the Dali Rubikore On Wall and Dali Rubikore Cinema is mounted on a swivel plate, allowing the speakers to be mounted vertically or horizontally.

Made in Denmark

The Dali Rubikore speakers are entirely designed and handcrafted in the brand’s Danish workshops. They have a luxurious design, with a magnificent lacquer finish available in walnut, white, black and cherry (except Dali Rubikore Cinema and On Wall). At the rear, they are all equipped with a double pair of terminals (except the On Wall) for bi-amplification and bi-wiring. The latter are combined with a high-quality crossover featuring SMC-KORE cross-coupled inductors with SMC technology.

The Dali Rubikore speakers are true works of art, with their minimalist lines and exemplary lacquer finish.

With its new Dali Rubikore range, the Danish manufacturer applies the technologies introduced with its flagship products to more reasonably priced models equally suited to hi-fi and home theater. These speakers are now available to pre-order on Son-Vidéo.com at a price of €1,490 for the Dali Rubikore On Wall, €1,999 for the Dali Rubikore Cinema, €2,590 per pair for the Dali Rubikore 2 bookshelves, €4,990 per pair for the Dali Rubikore 6 floorstanding speakers and €6,990 per pair for the top-of-the-range Dali Rubikore 8 floorstanding speakers.
