Sony has made another stunning entry into the gaming world with its INZONE headphones, designed for PlayStation 5 owners and PC gamers. The INZONE H3, H5, H9 gamer headphones and INZONE Buds earphones are the first models and aim to appeal to a wider audience with features and performance ideal for video games and competitive titles in particular.

Comparing the INZONE H3, INZONE H5 and INZONE H9 gamer headphones
Sony INZONE H9
Flagship of the range, the Sony INZONE H9 wireless headphones feature 40mm transducers with a frequency response of 5Hz to 20kHz. They are equipped with a high-performance retractable boom microphone for clear communication. An indispensable asset in competitive games, to make sure you’re understood by your teammates. It’s also ideal for gamers who want to start streaming on Twitch, for example.
In terms of battery life, the Sony INZONE H9 gamer headphones promise up to 32 hours of continuous gaming. Enough for long gaming sessions without having to worry about recharging the battery. What’s more, with a rapid charge lasting just 10 minutes, it’s possible to extend this autonomy by an hour.
These headphones also feature noise cancelling for total immersion and an Ambient mode that lets you hear the surrounding sounds and conversations. This option is activated by pressing the button on the left earpiece, next to which is a knob for adjusting the volume. On the right earpiece, you’ll find the Bluetooth connection button, as well as controls for choosing whether to emphasize the game sound or the chat sound.
In addition to a Bluetooth connection, the Sony INZONE H9 headphones can be operated with the included USB dongle. The latter enables fast data transmission at 2.4GHz and significantly reduces latency for maximum responsiveness. This solution also offers 360 Spatial Sound for gaming on PC and Tempest 3D AudioTech on PlayStation 5. Launched at €229.90, they are great value for money.

Sony INZONE H5
The Sony INZONE H5 wireless headphones inherit most of the features of the H9, but are more affordable with a launch price of €149.90. To achieve this, certain concessions have been made, notably with a reduced battery, which still offers up to 28 hours of autonomy. However, a 10-minute quick charge can provide up to 3 hours of additional use.
A further compromise concerning the microphone is compensated for by AI-enhanced sound processing. This way, the voice remains clear and surrounding noise is effectively filtered out. This is the same technology now found in the DualSense controller’s built-in microphone, although with the INZONE H5 headphones, voice quality is much better.
Once again, Sony has hit the nail on the head with this model, aimed at both console and PC gamers. Like the H9, they deliver a sound quality that is quite rare among gaming headphones, with very precise spatialization. They’re perfect for playing games with friends that demand responsiveness and precision.

Sony INZONE H3
The entry-level Sony INZONE H3 wired headphones are much more affordable, at just €99.90. However, they still have a lot going for them. They are positioned just above the Pulse 3D, with a wider frequency response and a more powerful boom microphone. Their 3.5mm jack allows use with a wide range of devices, and can be connected directly to the DualSense controller or Xbox Controller, for example. For PC use only, a USB audio DAC is supplied, enabling you to take advantage of spatialization thanks to 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming technology. This model is ideal if you don’t want to break the bank, but are looking for headphones with precise spatial imaging.

Sony INZONE Buds
To round off the range, the Sony INZONE Buds wireless earbuds are an excellent alternative to gamer headsets. Thanks to the new low-power L1 processor, they offer up to 12 hours of autonomy. A 5-minute quick charge provides an extra hour of gaming.
Like the headphones in the INZONE range, these gaming earbuds support 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming technology for precise spatialization. They connect via Bluetooth LE, so check that your device or PC supports this protocol. However, it’s with the included 2.4 GHz USB-C dongle that the Sony INZONE Buds reveal their full potential, with latency below 30 ms. This means they can be used with any smartphone, game console or PC with a USB-C port.
To communicate with teammates, the Sony INZONE Buds gaming earbuds feature a built-in microphone which, like the Sony INZONE H3 headphones, uses artificial intelligence to enhance the sound of your voice. This technology guarantees clear communication with other players. They can also be used for video and phone calls.
The versatile Sony INZONE Buds wireless earphones can be used to play games on a smartphone, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The sound quality also lets you enjoy music, films and TV series. Designed more for mobile use, they remain just as relevant with a computer. Available now at €219.99.

The Sony INZONE range
Sony is already well established in the gaming sector with its PlayStation brand, but the Japanese giant wants to go further and use its expertise to appeal to even more gamers with the INZONE range. Designed for optimum compatibility with the PlayStation 5, these gamer accessories also target PC gamers with advanced features. A strategy that goes hand in hand with the publication of exclusive PlayStation 5 games on the PC platform, but also to compete with Xbox, already well established in this sector.

Already compatible with Windows, the DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers are excellent companions for consoles and PCs alike. The same applies to the PS VR2, which will receive an adapter in August for use with a computer. Sony’s Pulse 3D gaming headphones have already won over many PlayStation gamers, but this range of INZONE headphones and earbuds will appeal to casual gamers and competitive game enthusiasts alike.
Developed in partnership with the Fnatic eSport team, these INZONE gaming headphones don’t lose sight of eSports. Offering an extended frequency response and support for spatialization thanks to 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming technology, they offer a precise reproduction, so you can easily pinpoint sound events. An indispensable in-game advantage on all competitive titles.
