The gaming sector is often a motor of innovation, whether for image or sound. Well-known to gamers, Turtle Beach recently unveiled its Turtle Beach Atlas Air wireless headphones, which offer a host of benefits for console and PC gamers alike, including a surprising innovation. The Turtle Beach Atlas Air headphones feature the Floating Earcup concept, which promises greater comfort and better sound isolation.

Innovative floating earcups
One of the special features of the Turtle Beach Atlas Air gaming headphones is the brand’s exclusive floating earcup concept. The principle is quite simple: the two earcups can be adjusted in three dimensions to suit any head shape. Combined with a floating, breathable mesh headband, they guarantee maximum comfort.
This way, the earpieces fit perfectly, maximizing sound quality. Acoustic isolation is also improved, reducing external noise for greater clarity. This also enables listening at lower volumes, protecting hearing in the long term. What’s more, the memory foam has been specially designed to adapt perfectly to players with glasses, thanks to a softer zone for the temples.
This is a rather welcome advance, especially in the gaming sector, where headphones can be worn for long sessions. By improving comfort in this way, Turtle Beach is offering this little novelty on a fairly affordable model, with a launch price of €179.90. With almost 50 years of existence and some twenty years of expertise in gamer headsets, Turtle Beach continues to innovate and contribute to the audio and gaming sector.

Turtle Beach Atlas Air: headphones designed for console and PC gamers
Thanks to their USB dongle, the Turtle Beach Atlas Air gaming headphones enable wireless, latency-free connection, like Sony’s INZONE range, to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as the Nintendo Switch console on its dock. Its Bluetooth connectivity also enables the headphones to be paired with iOS and Android devices for mobile gaming. What’s more, they can be connected to any device with a 3.5mm mini-jack port, including Xbox Controller and DualSense controllers.
Regarding audio, the Turtle Beach Atlas Air gamer headphones feature 40mm transducers, capable of reproducing frequencies from 20Hz to 40kHz, while supporting audio resolutions up to 24-bit/96kHz. This is ideal not only for enjoying video game soundtracks, but also for listening to music in excellent conditions. What’s more, the Waves 3D Audio feature enables precise spatialization on the PC. All this is supported by the floating earcups that ensure excellent isolation.
Equipped with a unidirectional microphone, the Turtle Beach Atlas Air gaming headphones ensure crisp, clear communication. With a 32kHz sampling rate, they’re also suitable for gamers who want to record gameplay for YouTube or Twitch. What’s more, with 50 hours of battery life, the Turtle Beach Atlas Air headset enables long, extended gaming sessions with enhanced comfort thanks to the floating earcups.

Turtle Beach continues to expand its range of accessories for gamers. The acquisition of Roccat, in 2006, was part of this strategy, to also offer keyboards and mice in its catalog. Earlier this year, they announced the end of Roccat-branded accessories, which will now be sold under the Turtle Beach banner.
