British manufacturer Q Acoustics is refining its entry-level offer with the new Q Acoustics 3000C series. This 2024 speaker range features the best innovations of the Q Acoustics 5000 series while being more affordable than ever.
A full range
The new Q Acoustics 3000C series is now the entry ticket to the British manufacturer’s catalog. It draws on the heritage of the legendary Q Acoustics 3000i, the brand’s most popular and critically acclaimed speaker series. These new models use the same principles and aesthetics, but push performance even further thanks to the integration of technologies developed for the Q Acoustics 5000 range that we greatly enjoyed during our review of the Q Acoustics 5020 and 5040, as well as our review of the Q Acoustics 5050. The manufacturer offers five models in this new line:
- The Q Acoustics 3010C, Q Acoustics 3020C and Q Acoustics 3030C bookshelf speakers
- The Q Acoustics 3050C floorstanding speaker
- The Q Acoustics 3090C center speaker
C3 drivers
The Q Acoustics 3000C speakers inherit the Continuous Curved Cone C3 midbass driver introduced by the 5000 series and used in the brand’s connected models, such as the Q Acoustics M40. This exclusive driver features a cone with a single, smooth, continuous curve profile. This unique design maximizes the response in the lows while maintaining perfectly controlled mids. It also ensures optimized dispersion and better synchronization with the tweeter.
Each C3 Continuous Curved Cone driver is equipped with large magnets. This allows a 50% increase in power handling and control over a standard driver. As a result, the sound is more dynamic and precise. The diameter and number of these drivers varies depending on the speaker model, as shown here in the table below:

Decoupled tweeter
To ensure optimal tonal coherence in home theater settings, the Q Acoustics 3000C speakers all feature the same 0.8” dome tweeter. Like the brand’s most prestigious models, such as the Q Acoustic Concept 500 and Q Acoustics Concept 300, the tweeter is entirely decoupled and mechanically isolated. This reduces interaction with the midbass drivers for a more precise and accurate reproduction of the high frequencies. Furthermore, the tweeter’s acoustic chamber is carefully vented to minimize distortion.
Modern, reinforced cabinet
Q Acoustics has always taken great care in the design of its speakers, and the new Q Acoustics 3000 range is no exception. The cabinets used in this series are reinforced with internal bracing, mounted using the P2P (Point to Point) principle, which connects several key areas to reduce internal vibrations and resonance. Moreover, the Q Acoustics 3050C floorstanding speaker is equipped with Helmholtz resonators, which absorb and equalize pressure variations and resonance. This technology, which has been tried and tested on the Q Acoustics Concept range, ensures a natural reproduction, without any coloration.
The British manufacturer has also taken particular care with the design of the cabinet, resulting in a sleek, elegant design. The speakers have a minimalist silhouette and rounded edges, enabling them to blend into any interior. What’s more, thanks to the excellent damping provided by the C3 Continuous Curved Cone driver, placement of the speakers in the room is greatly simplified, guaranteeing optimum performance whatever the chosen location.

The Q Acoustics 3010C are €379 per pair, the Q Acoustics 3020C are €490 per pair, the Q Acoustics 3030C are €629 per pair, the Q Acoustics 3050C floorstanders are €1,090 per pair, and the Q Acoustics 3090C center speaker is €379. The first deliveries are scheduled for fall 2024.
