To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the legendary Sonus Faber Concertino speaker, the Italian manufacturer is reviving this iconic model in a limited edition of 300 units with the new Sonus Faber Concertino G4. It takes up the rich tradition of craftsmanship combined with cutting-edge technologies to mark its era as profoundly as the previous model.

Exceptional design

Carrying on the craftsmanship tradition of Italian master luthiers, Sonus Faber has always stood out for its partially hand-assembled speakers made from the finest materials. The new Sonus Faber Concertino G4s continue this legacy, with a cabinet featuring thick, solid walnut side panels. The historic trapezoidal chassis limits resonance and vibration, as does the internal cork structure. The front, top and rear panels are covered in plant-based leather, giving this speaker a luxurious haute couture feel. Limited to just 300 units, each Sonus Faber Concertino G4 speaker comes with a numbered brass plate.

A true work of craftsmanship, the Sonus Faber Concertino G4 speaker is handcrafted from high-quality materials, including solid walnut and a plant-based leather covering.

Impressive sound performance

The acoustic design of the Sonus Faber Concertino G4 features a 5″ cellulose pulp driver. It benefits from a soft surround to maximize excursion and a bass-reflex enclosure to optimize the bass response. High frequency reproduction is entrusted to the legendary DAD (Damped Apex Dome) tweeter. This model is renowned for its smoothness and great linearity.

Thanks to its paper pulp driver coupled with the famous DAD tweeter, the Sonus Faber Concertino G4 promises a highly detailed, linear reproduction from 60Hz to 25kHz.

Optimized crossover

To get the most out of the drivers, Sonus Faber has equipped this bookshelf speaker with a high-quality passive crossover. The latter uses carefully selected components to optimize phasing and sound imaging. The result is a more extensive spatial image and a true three-dimensional reproduction. This crossover is combined with a double pair of gold-plated terminals that allows bi-wiring and bi-amping.

Thanks to its optimized crossover, the Sonus Faber Concertino G4 speaker offers an extended soundstage and holographic reproduction.

Thirty years after the first Sonus Faber Concertino, the Italian manufacturer is reviving this iconic model in a limited edition that’s more prestigious and powerful than ever. This work of craftsmanship is now available to pre-order on Son-Vidéo.com at €4,750 per pair. It is also available with optional stand for €6,250 per pair.
