Audio-Technica has unveiled two new references that complement one another. The Japanese turntable specialist is adding to its automatic record player range with the Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT. This release is accompanied by the brand’s first ever active speakers: the Audio-Technica AT-SP3X. These two references are Bluetooth compatible and are designed to work together.

Audio-Technica AT-SP3X: the manufacturer’s first active speakers
Founded in 1962, Audio-Technica knows how to stay up-to-date. After more than 60 years of existence, the Japanese firm is stepping into the active speaker market. The latest creation from the Japanese workshops, the Audio-Technica AT-SP3X features an amplification system capable of developing a peak power output of 30 watts. The latter powers a 3” midbass driver and a 1.1” tweeter.
The Audio-Technica AT-SP3X active speakers are equipped with a Bluetooth receiver that supports the aptX HD codec to limit compression. Moreover, the Bluetooth 5.3 chip allows you to pair two devices simultaneously. Thanks to this multipoint protocol, you can wirelessly connect both a computer and a turntable, for example. The release of this first pair of active speakers, available for €199, is accompanied by a new Bluetooth turntable. The two devices are designed to work together to form a compact vinyl system.
Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT: the new Bluetooth turntable
The Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT automatic record player is the successor to the AT-LP60XBT model. This upgrade is justified by the integration of a more powerful Bluetooth chip that is compatible with the aptX Adaptive protocol. This high-definition codec guarantees dynamic bit-rate adaptation for consistently robust wireless audio diffusion, even in environments prone to radio-frequency interference.
Furthermore, the Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT Bluetooth turntable is equipped with an AT-VW95C cartridge developed by the brand as well as a switchable phono preamp. This new automatic deck is a true plug-and-play solution, designed first and foremost to integrate an easy-to-use vinyl system. It’s also perfectly upgradeable, adapting to the needs of music lovers. The Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT turntable, available to pre-order on Son-Vidéo.com at €249, is available in black and white.
