Following on from the ultra-compact Marantz Model M1, the Japanese manufacturer’s range of connected amplifiers continues to grow with the latest Marantz Model 60n. Tailored to meet every need, this 2 x 60W model supports Hi-Res streaming and boasts full connectivity with HDMI ARC for TV.
A comprehensive range
Marantz now offers a complete range of connected amplifiers to suit all needs and budgets. The series begins with the best-selling Marantz Melody X M-CR612, followed by the Marantz Stereo 70s. The latter offers the advantage of 8K HDMI inputs and outputs for easy integration into the heart of modern audio and video installations. Next up is the recent compact Marantz Model M1, ideal for integration or in the office, followed by the new Marantz Model 60n. The latter is a more affordable, less powerful alternative to the flagship Marantz Model 40n, without sacrificing connectivity or functionality.

Up to 2 x 80 watts of power
Like the brand’s most prestigious models, the Marantz Model 60n stereo amplifier uses class AB amplification based on Marantz’s exclusive HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) modules. The latter are combined with a toroidal power supply and feedback current topology to precisely deliver a comfortable power output of 2 x 60W into 8 ohms and 2 x 80W into 4 ohms. This is expressed over a wide bandwidth, from 5Hz to 100kHz, with distortion of just 0.02%.

Streaming and multi-room
Based on the Heos ecosystem, the Marantz Model 60n amp can access web radios, as well as numerous online music services such as Deezer, Spotify, Amazon Music and Tidal. It can play Hi-Res files shared over the local network in DLNA up to 24-bit/192kHz and DSD 5.6 MHz. It is also possible to listen to music from a smartphone, tablet or computer via Bluetooth and AirPlay 2. Finally, it can be added to a multi-room system with other Heos or AirPlay 2 compatible devices.
Analog and digital inputs
In addition to streaming, the Marantz Model 60n amplifier lets you enjoy all your sources, thanks to its wide range of connectors. These include four RCA inputs, including a phono input for connecting a turntable. The digital stage includes optical, coaxial and HDMI ARC inputs, making it easy to connect a TV. A practical USB-A port enables playback of audio content stored on a USB stick or external hard drive. Outputs include a port for connecting a subwoofer, a pre-out for a power amp, and speaker terminals compatible with banana plugs, spade connectors and wide-gauge cables.

Price and availability
The new Marantz Model 60n amplifier is now available to pre-order on Son-Vidéo.com at a price of €1,490. First deliveries are scheduled for this autumn.
