Following the enthusiastic response to the Dali Epikore 11 at Munich High End 2023, the Danish manufacturer has decided to expand its range with three new models: a bookshelf speaker, the Dali Epikore 3, and two floorstanders, the Dali Epikore 7 and Dali Epikore 9. The latter combine all the expertise acquired by the manufacturer over the last few decades to offer perfectly accomplished solutions, both acoustically and aesthetically.
A no-compromise range
The history of the Dali Epikore range began in 2022, when the Danish manufacturer presented its ultimate speaker: the Dali Kore. Priced at €80,000 per pair, this behemoth pushes limits with a height of 1.70m and a weight of 140kg. A year later, the brand unveiled the Dali Epikore 11 speaker, which follows the same basis in a less disproportionate format. It is impressive all the same, weighing in at 75kg for a height of 1.60m. Its acoustic components are a perfect blend of the ultimate Dali Kore and the award-winning Dali Epicon high-end series. The new Dali Epikore 3, Dali Epikore 7 and Dali Epikore 9 models follow this philosophy.
A luxurious design
The speakers in the Dali Epikore range are designed to the highest standards, starting with a reinforced cabinet to create a perfectly neutral acoustic environment to avoid coloration. The sides are slightly curved, limiting unwanted reverberation and resonance. On the outside, this chassis features a magnificent real wood finish in black, red cherry wood or walnut. Each model is hand-polished in the brand’s Danish workshops to create a lacquered finish worthy of a piano.

In-house drivers
As a leading driver specialist, the Dali Epikore speakers naturally feature drivers designed by the brand. Innovation is embodied in the Clarity Cone model, whose low-loss paper-fiber cone ensures optimum attenuation of unwanted resonances. The magnet system benefits from second-generation SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) technology to limit distortion and ensure a more accurate reproduction. This driver has a diameter of 7 inches when used for midrange and bass reproduction on the Dali Epikore 7 and Dali Epikore 3 speakers, while the Dali Epikore 9 and Dali Epikore 11 feature a 6.5 inch model specifically dedicated to the midrange, thanks to their 4.5-way architecture with 7.9″ woofers.

Hybrid tweeter
The Dali Epikore speakers all use the same EVO-K hybrid tweeter, with an extraordinary diameter of 1.4″. This large surface area means that the dome’s radiation zone is much wider, for greater high frequency stability. This also allows it to reach lower frequencies, for better midrange reproduction. From 12.5kHz, high frequencies are reproduced by a 10 x 55mm ribbon tweeter. The latter adds transparency and depth to the soundstage.

The price of excellence
The speakers in the Dali Epikore range can now be ordered on Son-Vidéo.com, with prices ranging from €9,990 for the Dali Epikore 3 bookshelves to €39,990 for the ultimate Dali Epikore 11 floorstanding speakers. Here are the features of each model:
