After making its mark at IFA 2024, then at the Paris Audio Video Show with the launch of the innovative Hisense HT Saturn wireless home theater, the Asian manufacturer is back in the spotlight at CES 2025. This time, it is unveiling the final technical details and finally announcing the market launch date for this innovative system.
Hisense HT Saturn: the wireless home theater
Sony has been one of the most innovative brands in the wireless home theater world since the launch of the Sony HT-A9 system in 2022. This system revolutionized the sector by offering 360° surround sound from just four speakers. It was renewed in 2024 with the Sony Bravia Theater Quad system, which perfected the formula, as highlighted in our Sony Bravia Theater Quad review.

With the new Hisense HT Saturn, the Chinese brand becomes the only competitor to take on this 4.0 home theater behemoth. It uses the same principle, with the intention of also offering 360° surround sound from four physical speakers distributed around the room (two at the front and two at the rear). Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatible, the Hisense HT Saturn is distinguished by the integration of a subwoofer as standard, whereas the Sony system only offers optional subwoofers (the Sony SA-SW3 and Sony SA-SW5). It also boasts a total power output of 720W, surpassing the 504W of the Sony Bravia Theater Quad.
“The speakers can be connected wirelessly and feature the very latest technologies: from Dolby Atmos to DTS:X and Pure Surround. With its maximum audio power of 720W, you’ll feel like you’re right in the heart of the action in your favorite movie, or in front of the stage of your favorite musical artist – except that you’ll be in the comfort of your own home or office. ” says Hisense.

The Hisense HT Saturn wireless home theater works in tandem with an HDMI box to establish the connection between the TV and the various wireless speakers. The system also supports Hisense’s Hi-Concerto technology, enabling the TV or projector drivers to be used simultaneously. This is identical to Sony’s Acoustic Center Sync system. This new wireless home theater system will go on sale in spring 2025 for around €1,100. An attractive price compared to the Sony Bravia Theater Quad, which retails for €2,690. But will its performance be up to scratch? You’ll find out in our future review.
