MZ6 Planar Magnetic transducers
At the heart of every Meze POET is the Isodynamic Hybrid Array MZ6 transducer, the result of over 30 years of research by Rinaro Isodynamics. Inspired by the transducers in the Elite and Liric models, it features a unique hybrid design combining a switchback coil for bass and a spiral coil for high frequencies. This architecture ensures a precise sound and enhanced spatialization. The extremely light Parus diaphragm (0.06g) guarantees an extended frequency response from 4 Hz to 96kHz, for an ultra-high resolution reproduction.
The Meze POET also incorporates AMTS (Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System) technology licensed from Dan Clark Audio. This system effectively attenuates high-frequency peaks, reducing auditory fatigue and improving detail clarity. With a harmonic distortion of less than 0.05%, the POET guarantees an accurate, natural musical reproduction.
Compact, comfortable design
Meze Audio designed the POET headphones with durability and ergonomics in mind. Their magnesium chassis and steel grille ensure great strength while remaining light (350g). The titanium-alloy headband and soft leather headrest offer optimum comfort, enabling extended listening sessions without fatigue.
Designed with eco-responsibility in mind, the new Meze POET headphones are easy to repair and maintain. Every component (ear pads, headband, cable, grille, etc.) can be replaced, ensuring optimum longevity for the device. The ear pads benefit from a magnetic system, inspired by the Liric 2nd generation model that we particularly appreciated, facilitating their replacement and maintenance. In addition, the headphones are supplied with a high-quality braided copper cable, guaranteeing a reliable, long-lasting connection.
From the very beginning of our POET journey, we knew we wanted to create something unique — a more compact planar-magnetic open-back headphone that is every bit as capable as our flagship models.
