With the new Px7 S3, Bowers & Wilkins has taken an important step forward in the world of high-end wireless headphones. The successor to the highly acclaimed Px7 S2e, this model promises an even more immersive and faithful listening experience thanks to significant acoustic and technological improvements.
A heritage of excellence
Before discovering the new features of the B&W Px7 S3, it’s worth looking back at the remarkable track record of its predecessor, the B&W Px7 S2e. The latter won the hearts of music lovers and specialist critics alike thanks to outstanding sound quality, an elegant design and optimum user comfort. The Bluetooth Px7 S2e headphones have received numerous awards from the specialist press, including a top score of 5/5 on Son-Vidéo.com, testifying to their excellent performance.

An ambitious redesign
With the Px7 S3, Bowers & Wilkins pushes the boundaries of audio performance with a complete redesign of its flagship headphones. While retaining the same 40mm biocellulose diaphragms for the transducers, the British manufacturer has optimized the coils, magnet system and surround for enhanced control. The headphones’ internal architecture has been completely revised to reduce distortion and improve dynamics. The integration of dedicated amplifiers for each transducer is a first for the brand in an over-ear model, enabling a more powerful, lively and realistic sound reproduction. The manufacturer also announces that support for Spatial Audio music will be provided via a future software update.

Next-generation active noise cancelling
The new B&W Px7 S3 headphones incorporate next-generation active noise cancelling (ANC) technology. The latter promises even more effective sound isolation in a variety of situations, whether you’re on the move, in an open space office or at home. Integrated microphones pick up ambient noise and neutralize it in real time, allowing total immersion in the music. Although some competitors, such as Sony, offer slightly better ANCs, the Px7 S3 headphones offer a remarkable balance between sound quality and noise reduction, thanks to algorithms specifically developed to ensure that musical performance is not compromised.

Bluetooth HD and wired connection
The B&W Px7 S3 headphones support the latest Bluetooth codecs, including aptX Adaptive, aptX HD and aptX Lossless, offering high-resolution wireless streaming at up to 24-bit/96kHz. In addition, the B&W Px7 S3 offers direct access to the Qobuz and Tidal streaming services from the Bowers & Wilkins Music mobile app, which also features an equalizer. What’s more, the headphones can be used in wired mode, either via USB-C or mini-jack, thanks to the included cables.

With the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3 headphones, the British brand offers an ambitious redesign of its flagship model, featuring a new internal architecture, extended compatibility with high-resolution codecs and more effective ANC. The new model will go on sale in the coming weeks at a price of €429.
