TF1+ continues to expand. A year and a half after the launch of its streaming platform, the TF1 group is seeking to make its services accessible to as many people as possible. To achieve this, the French TV channel is targeting electric vehicles in particular. Since April 8, TF1+ has been available to download in all Renault connected vehicles.

A large-scale partnership

Since April 8, the free TF1+ streaming platform has been available on the multimedia screens of compatible Renault vehicles. The app is available in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland for Renault models equipped with the OpenR Link multimedia system with integrated Google (based on Android Automotive 12).

Of course, to comply with safety standards, the app only works when the vehicle is stationary. This new, practical implementation means that you can enjoy video content when the vehicle is connected to a fast-charging station, for example.

TF1+, a rich catalog

This partnership is in line with TF1’s strategy of multiplying access points to its content. For the French car manufacturer, the integration of TF1+ will enable it to enrich its catalog by offering a tailor-made experience to its drivers. TF1+ offers over 30,000 hours of original content, which already attracts over 34 million viewers every month. With its highly popular linear content, the TF1+ platform also integrates the best content from other channels such as Arte, the L’Équipe and Figaro TV.

It illustrates our shared desire to innovate for the benefit of our users, by offering them an ever richer and optimized experience”.

Summary

The arrival of TF1+ in Renault electric vehicles marks a strategic turning point for the streaming platform. Accessible via compatible Renault multimedia systems, it offers a new experience for drivers and enriches the catalog of content available on the move.
