A Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatible soundbar

The Sony Theatre Bar 6 soundbar, the cornerstone of the Theatre System 6, shares its DNA with the Japanese brand’s high-end soundbars, such as the Bar 8 and Bar 9. This model stands out from its predecessor, the Sony HT-A3000 soundbar, with the addition of vertical drivers for three-dimensional sound effects. These X-Balanced technology drivers are specially designed to reproduce Dolby Atmos and DTS:X tracks for captivating audio immersion. Part of the Theatre System 6 wireless home theater, the Bar 6 soundbar is also available with the subwoofer (without the surround speakers) for €499.

Sony Theatre System 6: a 5.1.2-channel system

The Sony Theatre System 6 wireless home theater marks a notable evolution for Sony, with the integration of wireless surround speakers. The 5.1.2 channel system consists of a soundbar, two wireless satellite speakers and a subwoofer. This format allows Sony to compete with rivals such as Samsung and LG, who already offer home theater systems with this configuration. To compensate for the lack of lateral drivers, the Sony Theatre System 6 uses S-Force PRO and Vertical Surround Engine technologies, which are designed to spatialize any program across 5.1.2 channels, even from a stereo source.
