A remote control designed with the user in mind
Made entirely from aluminum, the WiiM Voice Remote 2 boasts a sleek, modern design reminiscent of the Apple TV remote control’s silhouette. This brand seems to be a big inspiration for the manufacturer, as we pointed out in our review of the WiiM Amp. With dimensions of 38 x 157 x 15mm and a weight of 50g, it offers a comfortable grip, facilitating prolonged use without fatigue. The buttons are cleverly arranged for intuitive access to essential controls, ensuring a smooth user experience.
The WiiM Voice Remote 2 is designed to offer total control over compatible audio devices. Key features include:
- Playback controls: play/pause, next/previous track and volume control.
- Customizable preset buttons: four programmable buttons provide instant access to your favorite radio stations, playlists or podcasts.
- Source selection: to easily switch between different audio sources such as network, Bluetooth, Aux-in, Line-In or SPDIF.
- Voice control via Alexa: by holding down the voice button, users can interact with Alexa to control playback, adjust the volume or access various services, without the need for an additional Alexa device.
The flexibility of Bluetooth
The remote control is specially designed to work seamlessly with the brand’s various streamers and amplifiers. It pairs with the latter via Bluetooth, enabling 360° control without having to point the remote precisely at the device. Bluetooth Low Energy 4.0 ensures a stable, responsive connection with devices, offering an operational range of up to 15 meters. Pairing the remote control is done in just a few quick steps from the WiiM Home mobile app for iOS and Android. It is then possible to assign the functions you want to custom controls and activate the Alexa assistant for voice control.
