Famous for its bone conduction headphones and models designed for swimmers, Shokz also develops versatile wireless earbuds. With summer just around the corner, the brand has unveiled the OpenFit 2 and OpenFit 2 Plus. Both models feature two transducers in each earbud, integrate a Bluetooth 5.4 module, and prove to be very robust. They also keep the first generation’s open structure.

Two transducers per earbud
The Shokz OpenFit 2 and OpenFit 2 Plus earbuds follow on from the OpenFit released in 2022. This new generation benefits from several improvements, starting with the integration of a tweeter in each earbud. The latter reproduces the high frequencies, and complements the main transducer, which now focuses on the midrange and bass. This acoustic design promises greater detail and control over the entire sound spectrum.

Moreover, the battery life has increased significantly, rising from 28 to 48 hours with the charging case. Without the case, the OpenFit 2 and OpenFit 2 Plus earbuds offer up to 11 hours of interruption-free playback, while the first generation was limited to 8 hours. The earbuds’ durability has also been improved in order to better meet the needs of active users. Now IP55-certified, they are perfect for music lovers who exercise both indoors and out.
