Designed for home theater enthusiasts, the Hisense L9Q ultra-short-throw projector is a high-end alternative to large-format TVs. With its Trichroma laser technology, ultra-bright 4K picture and integrated Devialet audio system, this projector turns any living room into a movie theater. What are its key strengths?

Ultra-bright, faithful picture

The Hisense L9Q uses DLP technology combined with a triple RGB laser source, known as LPU 2.0. This Trichroma laser engine delivers highly accurate color reproduction, with 110% coverage of the BT.2020 spectrum. With a brightness of 5,000 ANSI lumens, it projects a perfectly visible image, even in partially lit environments, especially when combined with an anti-glare screen.

Compatible with HDR10+, Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced, the L9Q delivers dynamic scene-by-scene rendering, with deep blacks and accentuated detail. Pantone certification and SkinTone validation reinforce this fidelity, particularly for skin tones and artistic content. It can project an image ranging from 80 to 200 inches across (203 to 508cm) for full immersion.

Simplified installation and connected interface

The L9Q is quick and easy to install. Placed directly at the foot of the wall, it projects a large picture. Camera-based automatic picture correction (Auto Screen Fit) adjusts alignment with precision, up to 120 inches.

The projector features the Vidaa U9 Smart TV platform, with direct access to major streaming apps such as Apple TV+, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and YouTube. It integrates Alexa and Vidaa Voice voice assistants, enabling intuitive voice control. The interface is smooth and comprehensive, with a web browser, screen sharing and AirPlay 2 compatibility.

Immersive sound from Devialet

The Hisense L9Q features a 6.2.2-channel audio system with a total power output of 116 watts. It features ten drivers, including two subwoofers, up-firing drivers for vertical effects, as well as lateral and center reproduction.

This system is co-developed and calibrated with Devialet, with the support of the Opéra National de Paris. It is Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatible, for multi-dimensional sound spatialization. As a result, users benefit from full, precise sound reproduction, without the need for a separate home theater system.

Gaming performance and full connectivity

Gamers haven’t been left out. The Hisense L9Q offers a refresh rate of up to 240Hz in 2K, a response time reduced to 12ms, and an optimized game mode with automatic detection (ALLM). It also features a Turbo mode and a game bar that displays key information in real time.

The Hisense L9Q projector features a response time of just 12ms in gaming mode, ensuring excellent fluidity and low latency during gaming sessions.

In terms of connectivity, this projector features 4 HDMI inputs (including 2 in HDMI 2.1 and 1 eARC-compatible), 2 USB ports, a USB-C port, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth and compatibility with home automation systems such as Control4 and URC. This versatility guarantees seamless integration into all digital environments.

Summary

The Hisense L9Q ultra short throw projector combines a bright 4K image, advanced color fidelity, immersive Devialet sound and a complete connected interface. Thanks to its ease of installation, gaming performance and multiple connectivity options, it’s a high-end solution for an immersive audiovisual experience, whether in the living room or a dedicated home theater.
