French speaker manufacturer Jean-Marie Reynaud has released a preview of its next speaker: the JMR Auralis. Presented as the synthesis of JMR expertise, this feat of engineering and cabinetry highlights the culmination of years of research. Its name says it all: Auralis combines ear (auris), elevation (alis) and aura. Three notions that perfectly convey the brand’s goal: to offer a listening experience that transcends the speaker itself to approach a moment of pure musical immersion.
A statue-like refined design
From the very first glance, the Auralis is appealing. Its solid HDF cabinet is the epitome of precision craftsmanship, enhanced by the new Woodscore XO finish: a cognac-stained real walnut veneer, enhanced by a glossy piano varnish and subtle satin black contrasts. The elegance of its silhouette lies in its balance between strong lines and flowing curves. The dark front panel highlights the drivers and reinforces the sculptural nature of the speaker. At the top, the AST tweeter stands out as a signature element, housed in an aerodynamically designed enclosure.
The base, decoupled by a special polymer, completes this impression of refinement. It ensures both mechanical stability and aesthetic enhancement, making the Auralis both a luxurious piece of furniture and a contemporary sculpture. Whether in a modern living room or a more classic interior, it will immediately stand out for its unique visual presence.

A 2.5-way floorstander
The JMR Auralis adopts a 2.5-way architecture, with in-house components developed to combine technical rigor and musical expressiveness. It features two new 6″ midbass drivers with treated paper cones. This material has been used for decades by the brand for its lightness and rigidity, enabling micro-details to be transcribed with naturalness. The high register is entrusted to the 4.7″ AST tweeter, inherited from the prestigious JMR Voce Grande. This pleated ribbon technology, the fruit of many years of development, guarantees an airy reproduction with striking transparency. Harmonics express themselves freely, with a fluidity that makes voices and acoustic instruments sound extremely realistic.

The drivers are orchestrated by the famous JMR tuned triangular enclosure, complemented by a front-firing port. This technical choice not only extends the low-frequency response down to 35Hz, but also ensures great freedom of placement, even close to a wall.
