Monitor Audio’s iconic Bronze series takes another step forward with the seventh generation. More accomplished than ever, the Bronze 7G benefits from technical improvements – latest-generation C-CAM drivers, optimized Gold Dome tweeter, rigidified cabinets and redesigned crossovers – that further enhance its performance. Technical innovations for sound
Since its launch, the Bronze range has been dedicated to making high-fidelity sound accessible to the widest possible audience. It has always embodied the Monitor Audio spirit, concentrating the brand’s expertise in affordable speakers. With the seventh generation, this objective is further reinforced. The engineers have started from scratch, studying all the previous generations to preserve what made them so successful and integrate the latest technical advances.
The midbass drivers use the latest-generation C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium) cones. This material, both extremely rigid and lightweight, allows the driver to work like a piston over a wide frequency range, limiting unwanted deformation and reducing harmonic distortion. An important development is the adoption of larger diameter voice coils and more powerful magnetic motors. This design increases excursion capacity, enhances power handling and delivers sharper dynamics, even on demanding transients. The new progressive spider contributes to the linearity of the driver movement, ensuring rapid response and better control in both the bass and midrange.
The 1″ C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter has also been improved. Thinner and more rigid than the previous generation, it is integrated into the UD Waveguide II, whose profile optimizes dispersion and improves temporal alignment with the midbass drivers. A specially developed compression ring limits surface distortion, while an optimized ventilation system avoids rear-chamber resonance and allows pressure build-up without harshness. In the listening room, this translates into smooth, more detailed highs, perfectly integrated into the soundstage.
Last but not least, the cabinets in the series benefit from a meticulous design, with a baffle made of multi-ply wood veneer and thick panels to increase rigidity. The HiVe II bass-reflex port, designed to accelerate airflow, limits turbulence and improves responsiveness in the lower end of the spectrum. Inside, the crossover has been totally redesigned: components have been selected after hundreds of hours of listening and measurements to guarantee optimal signal transfer and perfect coherence between sound frequencies.
Bronze 50 7G: the entry ticket to the range
The Monitor Audio Bronze 50 7G speaker is the most compact model in the range. Only 33cm high, it is designed to deliver powerful, detailed sound despite its compact size. Its 6″ C-CAM driver, combined with a Gold Dome tweeter, delivers a clear midrange and firm bass, supported by a HiVe II port that reinforces the soundstage. This ensemble delivers a frequency response of 41Hz to 30kHz, with a power handling capacity of 100W RMS. Versatile, it can be used as a stereo speaker in small spaces, or as a surround speaker in a home theater system. Its elegant design, available in black, white or walnut, allows it to blend easily into any interior.
Bronze 300 7G: the balanced floorstander
The Monitor Audio Bronze 300 7G is the only floorstanding speaker in the series. It adopts a 2.5-way architecture, combining a Gold Dome tweeter with two 6″ midbass drivers. This configuration delivers a full, detailed sound reproduction, with low-frequency extension reaching 34Hz and 150W RMS power. Thanks to its 100cm height and new base with decoupling spikes, it offers excellent stability and enhanced bass impact. Ideal for ambitious hi-fi listening, or as front speakers in a home theater system.
Bronze Centre 7G: the voice of cinema
The Monitor Audio Bronze Centre 7G speaker is the essential centerpiece of any home theater system. Its dual 6″ C-CAM drivers, combined with a Gold Dome tweeter, ensure clear, intelligible dialogue reproduction, even in the most intense action scenes. Its 4″ C-CAM driver and Gold Dome tweeter project sound towards the ceiling to recreate a three-dimensional sound bubble.
