Sony has announced the arrival of the PULSE Elevate wireless speakers, expected in 2026. Designed to complement the PlayStation range, they are a high-end choice for those seeking immersive sound on both PS5 and PC. They also incorporate the brand’s flagship technologies, such as PlayStation Link and Tempest 3D AudioTech.

Sony unveils the PULSE Elevate wireless speakers, designed to deliver immersive, latency-free sound on PS5 and PC. Featuring PlayStation Link technology and Tempest 3D audio, they promise a versatile, high-end audio experience.

Planar transducers and woofer

Each PULSE Elevate speaker incorporates a planar magnetic transducer inspired by studio equipment. This technology ensures an accurate, detailed reproduction of the sound spectrum, allowing certain subtleties designed by the developers to be perceived. This is complemented by an integrated woofer, guaranteeing deep bass that adds depth to action scenes and richness to music. The combination of the two systems delivers a balanced sound reproduction, where precision and impact coexist without compromise.

Native compatibility with the PS5 allows users to take advantage of the console’s advanced audio settings, but Sony has also included PC compatibility. Gamers will be able to customize their experience via a dedicated interface, adjust the microphone feedback and create their own sound profiles. This openness reinforces the appeal of the PULSE Elevate as a hybrid solution, suitable for both gaming and multimedia, without being limited to the PlayStation ecosystem.

The speakers use PlayStation Link technology, which provides an ultra-low-latency, lossless wireless connection. Unlike conventional Bluetooth, this approach aims to perfectly synchronize image and sound, an essential criterion for competitive gaming and immersive experiences. It also enables you to instantly switch between compatible devices such as the PS5, PC or PlayStation Portal, avoiding tedious manipulations.

For their part, the PULSE Elevate take advantage of Tempest 3D AudioTech, the PS5’s sound spatialization technology. It creates an impression of space that places the player at the center of the action, with sounds positioned around them. With compatible games, this improves directional perception and enhances immersion, particularly for detecting off-camera enemies or to make the ambience of a virtual environment more realistic.

Versatile speakers for gamers

The PULSE Elevate also features an integrated microphone with AI-optimized noise reduction. This feature enhances the clarity of voice communications, whether coordinating a team or chatting with friends. On PS5, this microphone also offers the possibility of using voice commands, enabling interaction with the interface without additional accessories, reinforcing the versatility of the PULSE Elevate in everyday use.

Designed to be versatile, the PULSE Elevate is not just for desktop gamers with a PC or PS5 in their setup. They can also be used in the living room to accompany a console connected to a TV. This dual orientation makes them a hybrid product, capable of offering an immersive experience both in front of a desktop screen and at the heart of a gaming space, ideal for a true gaming room. They can also be transformed into an audio system for listening to music from a Bluetooth-connected smartphone, further extending their everyday uses.
