Presented at Paris Games Week 2025, Just Dance Now will be coming to LG Smart TVs in December 2025. Ubisoft and LG Electronics have made their collaboration official for this launch, marking a new stage in the popularization of music video games. Available on the LG Gaming portal in North America and Europe, Just Dance Now will enable LG TV owners to access the famous dance franchise without a console, simply with their remote control. This partnership underlines the two companies’ shared goal to make video games more accessible and intuitive on the big screen.

Play without a controller with the LG Magic Remote
The arrival of Just Dance Now on LG TVs is aimed at all those who want to dance without complex configuration. Starting with webOS 22, all you need is a compatible LG TV and the LG Magic Remote to take part. The remote, equipped with precise motion detection technology, captures the player’s gestures and transmits them in real time to the screen. So there’s no need for a console or additional controller: the TV becomes the center of the party. This integration considerably simplifies the gaming experience, transforming the living room into a real dance floor. Additional players can join the game using their smartphone and the app.

Free version, VIP access and exclusive content for LG users
For launch, Just Dance Now adopts a hybrid model combining limited free access and paid options. Users of LG Smart TVs will be able to play for free every day to discover the game and its mechanics. To extend the experience, a range of options will be available: subscriptions providing access to the entire catalog, or song packs.
Exclusively, LG is offering its users a special Money Pull Up map by Blaiz Fayah and Maureen, a viral track listened to tens of millions of times worldwide. Before the official release, a beta phase is planned in several countries, including France, the UK and Australia. This test version will allow three songs to be explored on the first day, followed by one song a day for two weeks, in order to evaluate the game’s fluidity on LG TVs and fine-tune performance before the global launch.
LG Gaming Portal: the ambition of a console-free platform
With this partnership, LG is strengthening its gaming ecosystem via its LG Gaming Portal. This platform, integrated into the webOS system, brings together several gaming services that can be played without a console, directly via streaming from LG televisions. It transforms any Smart TV into a gaming terminal, accessible to all members of the family. Chris Jo, webOS Platform Business Center Manager at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, said:
“We are committed to evolving the LG Gaming Portal into the ultimate gaming destination. By working with leading partners like Ubisoft, we are continuously expanding our selection of game titles and advanced features to offer a variety of immersive gaming experiences on LG Smart TVs.”
This statement clearly reflects LG’s goal to make Gaming Portal a pillar of home entertainment. The integration of Just Dance Now confirms that the brand is no longer limited to arcade games or simple experiences, but wants to offer mainstream titles with a strong social dimension.

Just Dance Now: the must-have dance game
Just Dance Now is the mobile and connected version of Ubisoft’s famous franchise. Unlike the traditional console versions, this version lets you play from any Internet-connected device, using a smartphone as a controller. Simply follow the dancers on screen and reproduce their movements to collect points. Detection is based on the smartphone’s sensors, making the experience accessible to all, even without special equipment.
The game is based on a catalog of several hundred songs, ranging from classics to the latest international hits. Users can join virtual dance rooms to play with friends or compete against players from all over the world. Until now, Just Dance Now has been available on web browsers, macOS, iOS and Android. Its arrival on LG TVs ushers in a new era of accessibility, combining the simplicity of mobile gaming with the comfort of the big screen. Now, fans can launch a game without having to configure any additional devices, simply by using their TV’s remote control.
The launch of Just Dance Now on the LG Gaming Portal illustrates the natural evolution of smart TVs into interactive entertainment platforms. By integrating streaming games directly into webOS, LG is transforming its TVs into true multimedia hubs. This move is part of a wider strategy aimed at making the television a versatile device, capable of replacing the traditional console for the general public. The partnership with Ubisoft also testifies to the maturity of the project, and paves the way for further collaborations between major publishers and manufacturers. If Just Dance Now succeeds in winning over smart TV users, the LG Gaming Portal could well become an essential reference for console-free gaming.
