The year 2025 has been particularly rich in innovations for tech and gaming enthusiasts. From new consoles and ever more immersive screens to high-performance headphones and responsive projectors, manufacturers have redoubled their efforts to transform the way we play and enjoy our content. Here are the electronics that stood out for me this year, and which, in my opinion, deserve a prominent place in any modern setup.

Nintendo Switch 2: a welcome evolution

The Nintendo Switch 2 takes up the hybrid concept that made the first version such a success, with significantly enhanced performance. Its 7.9-inch (20cm) LCD screen displays a Full HD image at 120 fps for remarkable fluidity. What’s more, it now supports HDR10 for better contrast than its predecessor. In TV mode, it switches to 4K UHD thanks to its new dock. The Joy-Con 2, meanwhile, introduces a precise mouse mode and a GameChat button, making the console more suited to competitive gaming and online chats. The 256GB internal storage, expandable up to 2TB, allows you to store a very large game library.
This new iteration of the Nintendo Switch brings next-generation gaming to a portable format. While retaining its simplicity of use, the Switch 2 can now accommodate the big triple-A productions. A necessary evolution to satisfy video game developers and gamers alike.
