A few weeks before CES 2026, LG is previewing some of the most eagerly-awaited innovations at the show, including a new LG Sound Suite audio ecosystem. Based on modular elements, it enables up to 27 different configurations and a system of up to 13.1.7 channels. The centerpiece of this home theater is the future LG H7 soundbar, the first in the world to integrate Dolby Atmos FlexConnect technology to automatically optimize the sound according to the position of each speaker in the room. A development that could well redefine wireless home theater standards for years to come.
What is Dolby Atmos FlexConnect?
To understand the importance of this new soundbar, we first need to look at the technology that makes it unique: Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. This innovation, designed by Dolby Laboratories and pioneered by TCL on the TCL Z100 speakers, aims to make the configuration of a home theater system simpler and more flexible. Traditionally, to take full advantage of Dolby Atmos sound, speakers need to be precisely positioned in the room to generate a convincing three-dimensional soundstage. This calibration often requires time, a suitable room and a technical setup that can be complex for the general public.
Dolby Atmos FlexConnect changes the game by allowing users to place speakers without worrying about their exact position in the room. Thanks to software-assisted automatic calibration and integration between TV, soundbar and wireless speakers, the system optimizes the soundstage in real time according to the physical location of the speakers, TV and viewer(s). To further optimize the listening experience, LG draws on a range of advanced processing techniques designed to adapt the sound to the environment and the listener. The Sound Follow system adjusts sound diffusion in real time according to the user’s position, to guarantee a consistent experience whatever their location in the room. For its part, the intelligent acoustic analysis module studies the configuration of the venue and automatically applies targeted corrections, with the aim of ensuring a balanced and constant reproduction throughout the listening area.

A fully modular system
At the center of LG’s ecosystem is the LG H7 soundbar, scheduled to be unveiled at CES in Las Vegas in January 2026. This soundbar can become the centerpiece of a larger configuration, including the future LG M7 and LG M5 wireless surround speakers, as well as an LG W7 subwoofer. Together, these components make it possible to compose up to 27 different installations, ranging from a simple stereo setup to a three-dimensional 13.1.7-channel system. A figure that defies many traditional wired home theater systems!
This exceptional modularity means you can expand or reduce your audio system to suit your available space, usage and budget, as your needs change. This principle is reminiscent of the strategy of brands such as Sonos, which popularized the concept of modular wireless systems, but here with even greater versatility to create an uncompromising, immersive system adapted to all configurations and requirements.

A soundbar as a central element
A central element of the installation, the LG H7 soundbar can be connected to any TV via HDMI eARC, or integrated wirelessly with the manufacturer’s future 2026 range, as well as the 2025 models in the LG OLED G5 and LG OLED C5 series. It then handles audio stream processing thanks to the power of the latest α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3, the same core technology used in the brand’s high-end OLED TVs. The latter uses artificial intelligence functions to optimize sound rendering in real time, automatically transforming a stereo source into an immersive multi-channel soundstage and optimizing the sound according to the content being viewed.
Beyond audio quality and modularity, LG is focusing on the user experience, with support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for music streaming. As with Sonos and Yamaha’s True-X series, LG will enable the LG M7 and LG M5 speakers to be used as a fully autonomous system for music and streaming.

Towards a new era of home theater
With the new LG Sound Suite range and the LG H7 soundbar featuring Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, LG is taking a significant step forward in the way immersive home theater is conceived. This innovative system will be previewed at CES 2026, taking place from January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas, with demonstrations planned at the Korean manufacturer’s stand. The marketing timetable and prices for these various elements should also be revealed on this occasion.
