With the ProMedia Lumina 2.1, Klipsch has created a new generation of desktop speakers that brings a legendary formula up to date. A direct descendant of the first ProMedia systems launched in the late 1990s, this new 2.1 kit retains the American brand’s sonic DNA while adapting it to today’s uses: gaming, remote working, content creation and everyday music listening.
The Klipsch sound signature in the office
True to its acoustic principles, Klipsch has equipped the ProMedia Lumina satellite speakers with a 1″ Mylar dome tweeter housed in its famous MicroTractrix horn. This patented model has been redesigned with a larger diameter to optimize dispersion and clarity. This approach, rare for multimedia speakers, ensures a precise, detailed and dynamic reproduction, even at close listening distances. The tweeter is paired with a high-efficiency 3″ midrange driver to maximize dynamics from the very first watts injected. The brand promises immersive sound for video games, music and multimedia content alike.

A discreet but expressive subwoofer
The 2.1 system is completed by an active subwoofer with a large 6.5″ driver. Its slim, vertical format allows it to slide easily under or beside a desk, without cluttering up the office. Bass intensity can be adjusted directly from the rear of the subwoofer, while an integrated alcove facilitates cable storage for a tidy working environment. Amplification is integrated into the sub, totalling 100W RMS and capable of reach a peak 200W. The Klipsch ProMedia Lumina 2.1 system offers an extended frequency response from 40Hz to 20kHz (at -6 dB) and a maximum sound pressure level of 98 dB SPL.

Extensive connectivity and advanced software control
Designed as a true audio solution for the office, the Klipsch ProMedia Lumina kit multiplies connection options to suit all uses. It can be connected to a computer via USB-C, acting as a USB DAC. A 3.5mm mini-jack analog input is also provided for connecting a conventional wired source, while Bluetooth 5.3 enables wireless music streaming from a smartphone, tablet or laptop. A practical 3.5mm headphone jack on the front panel is also available, so you can extend your gaming session into the night without disturbing those around you.

In addition to the physical control interface for adjusting volume, Klipsch offers full software control, via the Klipsch Connect Plus app on Android and iOS, but also with Klipsch Control for Windows, a first for the brand on PC. These interfaces provide access to a wide range of audio settings, with Music and Movie presets, a six-band parametric equalizer, and a Virtual Surround mode designed to expand the soundstage, particularly for video games. A Night mode is also available to attenuate bass and limit noise levels. Last but not least, the Klipsch ProMedia Lumina 2.1 feature an automatic on/off function synchronized with the status of the computer connected via USB. A welcome feature that enhances user comfort and the system’s integration into a modern work environment.

LED lighting for gaming
With the ProMedia Lumina, Klipsch pays particular attention to aesthetics and desktop integration, whether in a gaming setup or a more professional space. The satellite speakers have a compact, slim ABS enclosure (24.75 × 16.5 × 10.16cm), designed to fit either side of a screen without cluttering up the workspace. They can be placed on stands that can be tilted from 0° to 18° to enhance musical perception, depending on how they are installed on the desk. Each speaker incorporates six LEDs offering five ambient lighting modes. Fully customizable via the app, this lighting allows you to create a visual atmosphere that matches the music or game. Synchronization with the music enhances immersion, while the Screen React mode automatically adjusts the LED colors to match those displayed on the screen. Inspired by Philips’ Ambilight technology, this system extends the image beyond the edges of the monitor for a more immersive experience.

An affordable way to discover Klipsch sound

With the Klipsch ProMedia Lumina 2.1, the brand aims to make this experience even more comprehensive and accessible, without compromising on power or precision. It will go on sale in early 2026 at a price of €349, offering a ready-to-use solution that proves that true high-performance sound even has a place on a desk.
