The Nothing brand, founded in London in 2020, continues to develop its technological ecosystem with an approach focused on design, transparency and a streamlined user experience. After making a name for itself with a series of wireless earbuds whose style was instantly recognizable, the company reached a milestone in 2025 with the launch of its first over-ear headphones, the Nothing Headphone (1), hailed for their singular design and performance. Today, leaks point to a new headphone model scheduled to be released in March 2026. More accessible and available in new colors, this model, which is not yet official, could mark a new stage in Nothing’s audio strategy. What can we really expect from these headphones?
The Headphone (1), the first step into the headphone market
The Headphone (1) is notable for its technical collaboration with British manufacturer KEF and its semi-transparent design, which is faithful to the brand’s visual identity. It is clearly aimed at audiophiles who are equally drawn to sound performance and the object itself.

With these headphones, Nothing has made its goal clear, positioning itself against the big names in the industry, such as Sony, Bose and JBL. Sleek and bold, they feature active noise cancelling (ANC), a transparency mode, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and a battery life of up to 80 hours without ANC. A more accessible and colorful model in the works
According to a leak released over the past few days, Nothing is now preparing to launch a new, more affordable wireless model, which could be called Nothing Headphone (a). Scheduled for release in March 2026, this headphone would be marketed at a much lower price than its predecessor, with an estimated launch price of around €159 in Europe. This pricing positioning would make it much more accessible and a direct competitor to mid-range headphones.
The Nothing Headphone (a) would retain the aesthetic approach that has made the brand so successful, with minimalist lines and a bolder range of colors. Four finishes are planned for the launch: black, white, pink and yellow. just like the yellow Nothing Ear (a) series.

What technical specifications can we expect?
If Nothing applies the same logic as for its Ear (a) and Ear earbuds, it’s likely that these new over-ear headphones will stand out from their predecessor not by a radical redesign, but by a targeted reduction in certain high-end features, while preserving the essentials of the user experience.
We can expect the Nothing Headphone (a) to retain a solid set of features: Bluetooth 5.3, compatibility with the Nothing X app, and a sound signature similar to that of the Headphone (1). On the other hand, the headphones may omit high-resolution audio codecs such as LDAC, or offer less effective ANC, just like the Ear (a), which lacks the Clear Voice Technology processing and customizable spatial sound available on the higher-end Ear model.

The battery life could also be slightly reduced, or conditional on ANC being deactivated to achieve maximum performance. Nothing therefore seems intent on offering a more accessible alternative, following the same strategy of subtle differentiation as with its earbuds.
An offensive strategy to expand the range
This pricing offensive is part of Nothing’s wider strategy to consolidate its presence in consumer audio. By making its headphones more affordable, just as Nothing has done with its earbuds, the brand clearly intends to make its mark. If performance follows suit, the Nothing Headphone (a) could well become a serious contender in the sub-€200 Bluetooth headphones category. The official launch announcement is expected in the next few weeks.
