Asus ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDMZ gaming monitor

- 32″ (80cm) QD-OLED screen
- 4K UHD resolution (3840 × 2160)
- 240Hz refresh rate
- Response time: 0.03ms (GtG)
- G-SYNC and FreeSync Premium Pro
- HDR10 and Dolby Vision compatible
- Price: €990
After several weeks of use, I can say that this ASUS 32″ OLED is one of the best screens I’ve ever owned. The picture quality is spectacular: infinite contrast, perfect blacks, vibrant colors and more than enough brightness even in a bright room. For gaming, it’s a real pleasure: fluidity is incredible, there’s no perceptible latency, G-Sync/FreeSync work perfectly, and 240Hz really changes the experience. […] In short, total immersion in gaming, OLED image quality worthy of ultra high-end models, and a versatile screen that completely justifies its price. I recommend it without hesitation.

Tangent Ampster BT III stereo hi-fi amplifier

- Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD codec
- Cirrus Logic 24-bit/192kHz DAC
- HDMI ARC input

- Price: €199
I already had the BT II and I must admit that this new version with an HDMI connector and a phono input really tempted me, and I’m delighted with my new combo: BT III coupled with Highland Orans and the WiiM Pro, a modest yet effective entry into the world of hi-fi. The amp is warm and musical. I highly recommend the Tangent Ampster BT III.

Onkyo TX-RZ70 AV receiver

- 11.2-channel AV receiver (7.2.4 configuration possible)
- Power: 11 × 140W into 8 ohms
- Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio

I did a lot of research—particularly on the Son-Video.com website—and hesitated before finding a successor to my 25-year-old Onkyo-Integra TX-DS989 receiver. I opted for the Onkyo TX-RZ70, and I don’t regret it! My choice was motivated by the fact that is has the power to drive a set of 7.1 4-ohm speakers […]; this receiver does its job perfectly, the sound is full, precise and very detailed. Whether you’re listening to a CD in stereo mode or watching a DVD or Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray, the result is sublime for both audio and video. To achieve this, there are numerous settings and parameters, but the adjustments are fairly straightforward and are made easier in terms of sound by the highly effective Dirac calibration process (microphone provided). […] The Onkyo TX-RZ70 is THX Select approved and features a “THX Music” mode that I find particularly effective. […] The Onkyo TX-RZ70 does as good a job as some of its high-end competitors, some of whom are much more expensive […].

Sennheiser HD 560S hi-fi headphones

- Open-back over-ear headphones

- Frequency response: 6Hz – 38kHz
- Impedance: 120Ω
- Sensitivity: 110 dB
- Detachable cable with 3.5/6.35mm adapter

I’ve had them for a week now, and it’s been a revelation. […] I was keen to dip my toes into the audiophile world, and now I’m hooked. I spend my vacations listening to tracks I’ve played over and over for years, straining to hear the faintest lip sounds, the hum of an amplifier, the strum of a pick that I’d never heard before. […] The only problem with these headphones? They have created a need I didn’t previously have. Now I want even more. I have just discovered the sound stage, and I want to expand it further.
