The British brand continues to expand its range of party speakers with the Marshall Bromley 450, a more compact version of the Bromley 750. This new model retains the manufacturer’s aesthetic and technical DNA, while being designed for more mobile use. Smaller size, extended connectivity and elaborate sound architecture: this new Bluetooth party speaker, priced at €649, seeks to combine versatility and performance with a design that’s as ambitious as ever.

A compact format for easy transport

There are no aesthetic surprises here: the Marshall Bromley 450 party speaker takes up the brand’s legendary visual codes, inspired by guitar amplifiers. Its leatherette cover, metal grille and meticulous finish embody exemplary craftsmanship, true to Marshall’s image. The integration of an LED array on the front panel adds an original visual aspect, with programmable lighting inherited from the Marshall Bromley 750 model.

At 36 cm wide, 49 cm high and 26 cm deep, this speaker is a portable model. What’s more, its weight is halved compared with its sibling (12.2 kg vs. 24 kg), and the integration of a side handle makes it easy to move around, even if the absence of wheels means it has to be carried by hand. With its IP55 rating, the Marshall Bromley 450 is splash and dust-resistant, confirming its suitability for outdoor music sessions.

Ambitious audio architecture

Despite its more compact size, the Marshall Bromley 450 features an ambitious acoustic configuration. It is equipped with six drivers, including two 6.5″ woofers, four full-range drivers and two passive radiators. This architecture enables 360° sound diffusion, thanks to True Stereophonic technology, designed to offer uniform coverage. This enables music lovers to enjoy a balanced sound, wherever they are in the room.

The unit is powered by six class D amplifiers for a total output of 400 W. The claimed frequency response extends from 42 Hz to 20 kHz, with a maximum sound level of 100 dB at one meter. This configuration aims for a balance of solid bass, rich mids and detailed highs, in keeping with the Bromley 750.

Extensive connectivity and versatile uses

The Marshall Bromley 450 party speaker stands out for its particularly rich range of connectors. It features two XLR/6.35 mm jack combo inputs, compatible with microphones or instruments, extending its use to semi-professional or musical contexts. An RCA input, a 3.5 mm auxiliary input, a 3.5 mm mini-jack output and a USB-C audio port complete the package.

Thanks to its dual XLR/6.35 mm jack combo input, the Marshall Bromley 450 party speaker is ideal for semi-professional gigs in a bar, for example.

For wireless listening, the speaker relies on LE Audio-compatible Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, with support for the LC3 codec and Auracast broadcasting. Multipoint connectivity enables several devices to be connected simultaneously. The Marshall Bromley 450 can be controlled via the Marshall Bluetooth app or directly from the physical controls on the front panel, which include several knobs dedicated to volume, EQ and effects.

Solid autonomy with removable battery

One of the strengths of the Bromley 450 also lies in its battery life. In fact, the new Marshall speaker claims up to 40 hours of playback on a single charge, making it one of the most long-lasting models in its category. The removable battery is an added bonus, as it can be replaced or doubled to prolong use without interruption.

A full charge takes around 3 hours 30 minutes, while a 20-minute quick charge provides up to 6 hours of music. This modular design also enhances the product’s durability, making it easier to replace the battery over the long term.

Summary

With the Bromley 450, Marshall offers a more compact party speaker without sacrificing the essentials: high power, 360° sound diffusion and a particularly comprehensive range of connectors. Its meticulous design and removable battery reinforce its versatile positioning for use both at home and during events. Priced at €649, it is aimed at an audience looking for a portable model capable of combining mobility and audio performance.
