The story begins in 1925 in Struer, a small town in northwest Denmark, where two young engineers, Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, teamed up to create small audio products in their parents’ garage. Together, they created what would become an international design icon and a symbol of audio-visual excellence. The years following the company’s creation saw the birth of numerous products, including radios, amplifiers and speakers, gramophones and audio recording equipment for film professionals.

But Bang & Olufsen‘s uniqueness and reputation lie in its collaboration with internationally renowned architects and designers, such as Jacob Jensen (B&O Beogram 4000 turntable, B&O BeoVox 2500 compact speaker), David Lewis (B&O BeoSound 9000 CD player, BeoLab 4000 compact speaker) and Steve McGugan.

Today, Bang & Olufsen is world-renowned for its TV ranges, hi-fi headphones, compact audio systems and wireless speakers. Products that all combine technological excellence with emotional appeal and sensational design.
