Polaroid is entering the portable Bluetooth speaker market. The American firm offers four models: the P1, P2, P3 and P4. They offer bright colors with different designs, ranging from a playful looking model to a party speaker. One thing is certain, the Polaroid P1, P2, P3 and P4 speakers will not go unnoticed!
The instant photo specialist is entering the portable Bluetooth speaker market. With its success in the camera sector, Polaroid is changing its approach with four models of portable speakers. In line with the American brand’s flagship references, such as the Polaroid Now cameras, the P1, P2, P3 and P4 are available in several trendy colors.
Designed to be noticed
Like Sony‘s SRS-XB13 and SRS-XE200 series, Polaroid has adopted a quirky approach in both form and colour. From bright red to yellow, blue or black, the P1, P2 and P3 series offer flashy finishes. Only the Polaroid P4 remains more classic with two colors: yellow and black. Polaroid is entering a new market and wants to be noticed!
In terms of design, the instant photo specialist also chooses originality. The largest models, P3 and P4, adopt a retro-futuristic look. Equipped with a smooth metal handle, they are reminiscent of the iconic ghetto blasters of the 1980s. This vintage touch coexists with a modern aspect. The controls are discreetly placed on the top panel. On the front panel, an LED display provides information such as battery level or the track currently playing through the Polaroid Music control application.
The smallest models, the P2 and P1, are defined as playful. Designed for on-the-go use, these Bluetooth speakers can follow you anywhere. True fashion accessories, the Polaroid P1 and P2 adopt a more minimalist look. Like the P3 and P4, the P2 portable speaker has an LED display on the front.
Designed to follow you everywhere
The Polaroid portable speakers include a Bluetooth receiver. This makes it easy to stream music from a smartphone, tablet or computer. Thanks to the Bluetooth range of 10 meters, you can control playback remotely for maximum freedom. As a result, they can accompany you everywhere.
The P1, the smallest portable speaker in the range, differs from its larger siblings in several ways. It incorporates a Bluetooth 5.3 receiver compared to 5.0 for the other models, and has a battery life of 10 hours. In addition, the Polaroid P1 is IPX5 certified and includes a carabiner. It is therefore the most portable model of the range. This Bluetooth speaker can be easily attached to a backpack to accompany you on your outings. It is splash-proof and provides music anywhere thanks to its great battery life.
For their part, the Polaroid P2, P3 and P4 models have a battery life of 15 hours. Regarding transport, the American firm has also developed a system to simplify the life of users. The P2, which weighs less than 700 grams, benefits from two solutions. Like the P1, it is equipped with a carabiner for easy attachment. The more daring can also opt for an adjustable strap (not included) to wear the Polaroid P2 speaker as a fashion accessory. As mentioned earlier, the P3 and P4 models have a solid metal handle. This ensures a firm and secure grip while carrying the portable speaker.
Four models and four uses
Although they have a uique look, Polaroid portable speakers do not loose sight of what’s important: the sound. Naturally, the power of a model increases with its size. The Polaroid P1 integrates a 1.7″ driver powered by a 10-watt amplification. It is designed for small spaces and get-togethers. The most portable model in the range, the P1 Bluetooth speaker is synonymous with simplicity.
The Polaroid P2 is twice as powerful as the P1. It has two 1.8″ drivers, each powered by 10 watts. This device is completed by two 2.4″ passive radiators. Light and compact, it is effective outdoors and in a medium-sized space such as a living room. Powerful in spite of its size (8.6″ long and 3.5″ high), it is effective to provide the musical atmosphere for a small gathering.
The power of Polaroid speakers reaches new levels with the P3 model. The latter is equipped with three drivers and two 3″ passive radiators. A dedicated tweeter (1″) and two midrange speakers (2.5″) allow you to play your favorite songs. It is the first device of the American firm that can provide music for your parties in larger spaces.
Finally, the P4 portable speaker completes Polaroid’s range. More powerful, it has a frequency response of 60Hz to 20kHz and incorporates three drivers. Two 1″ drivers are dedicated to the highs with an amplification of 10 watts. The second driver measures 40″ in diameter and is powered by an amplification of 40 watts. The Polaroid P4 is more akin to a Bluetooth party speaker. As proof, the instant photo specialist provides a compatible speaker stand (available separately) so the speaker remains securely installed for the duration of the party. The P4 mobile speaker fits perfectly in large spaces and can be positioned horizontally or vertically without altering its sound quality.
Stereo pairing and control app
All Bluetooth speakers developed by Polaroid benefit from the stereo pairing feature. Very practical, this system allows you to pair two devices for higher volume and a more immersive experience. Stereo pairing expands the soundstage. Consequently, the P1, P2, P3 and P4 portable speakers are versatile and can be adapted to any type of space and situation. They are capable of delivering dynamic sound and deep bass to faithfully reproduce your favorite music.
Polaroid has also designed a control app simply named Polaroid Music. The latter offers the possibility of playing your playlists directly from the control panel of your P2, P3 or P4 speaker (P1 model not compatible). You can easily save your favorite music stations and scroll through them with the analog dial on the top of these Polaroid speakers.
In summary, the Polaroid P1, P2, P3 and P4 speakers are fully portable models. Their bright colors offer an attractive design to match their audio performance.
