Sony is currently testing PS5 game streaming for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, including video games from the PlayStation Plus catalog and the digital PS5 games that players already own. This feature will be available on the PS5 console, enabling players to save storage space.
However, unlike the Xbox Game Pass, Sony’s first-party/hit games will not be available to stream upon release, but at a later date, with the intention of boosting sales of new games.

Project Q
Project Q, Sony’s future handheld “console”, will also enable PS5 games to be streamed, but only using the Remote Play function from a PlayStation 5. Sony aims to make its PlayStation Plus Premium subscription even more attractive by extending access to PS5 game streaming beyond the console itself.

Xbox Game Pass
For the moment, the competing Xbox Cloud Gaming service only provides access to games available in the Xbox Game Pass library. Once these games are withdrawn, even if you own them, you can no longer play them via the cloud. Microsoft has already announced its intention to integrate Xbox gamers’ digital libraries into Xbox Cloud Gaming, but this feature has yet to materialize.
We can already imagine that these two services will be very similar in their final form, but which one will be more attractive? To be continued!
