The latest wonder of Las Vegas is called the Sphere! This revolutionary attraction transports you into a captivating universe, combining music, shows, sports and cinema. With its impressive dimensions and breathtaking giant screen, the Sphere redefines the entertainment experience.
The Sphere: 157m in diameter!
Presented on July 4, 2023 in Las Vegas, the Sphere is 157 meters wide and 111 meters high. Located on the grounds of the Venetian Hotel, this is the world’s largest spherical building. It is equipped with an impressive dynamic movie theater featuring a spectacular giant spherical screen, enough to make the Parisian Géode and its IMAX screen pale in comparison. This 17,385-seat venue features a curved screen the size of 4 soccer pitches, with 16K definition. Even very large TVs cannot compete with this screen!
168,000 speakers for immersive 360° sound
The sound system is also incredible: 168,000 speakers deliver 360° sound throughout the hall, offering thousands of spectators a totally immersive experience. The show is also on the outside, as the outer shell of the Sphere is covered with thousands of LED lights, forming a gigantic spherical screen.
The Sphere: immersive cinema and concerts
The Sphere will open this September with a host of attractions, star shows, sporting events and cinematic experiences. The famous Irish band U2 will open the hall with several concerts based on their legendary album Achtung Baby. Audiences will also be able to discover the documentary film Postcard from Earth directed by Darren Aronofsky, whose credits include The Whale (2022), Mother! (2017), Black Swan (2010) and Requiem for a Dream (2000).
The city of excess and entertainment, Las Vegas has one more revolutionary attraction with the Sphere. With its imposing structure visible from space, giant screen and advanced technological features, it promises unforgettable shows and experiences.
Do you dream of an immersive experience on your own scale, plunging you right into the heart of your favorite films and concerts? Why not create your own theater at home?
