With its new range of Magnat Monitor S speakers, the German brand offers a complete line-up for music and movie lovers looking for an affordable hi-fi or home-theater system. The Magnat Monitor S series includes the Magnat S10B and Magnat S30 bookshelf speakers, the Magnat S70 and Magnat S80 ATM floorstanding speakers, and the Magnat S10D surround speakers. The Magnat S12C and Magnat S14C center speakers round off the series.

Capable of integrating a home-theater setup or a high-fidelity system, Magnat Monitor S range speakers are highly versatile. The new series includes the Magnat S80 ATM floorstanding speaker, with an Atmos driver on top. The latter ensures the reproduction of vertical effects to create a veritable sound bubble around the viewer.
The Magnat S80 ATM floorstanding speaker is the perfect partner for the Magnat S14C center speaker. This 2.5-way model is rated at 100 watts RMS and features 4 x 4.3″ drivers and a 1.1″ dome tweeter. For surround effects, the Magnat S10D dipole speaker is ideal. Three mylar dome tweeters spread sound effects over a wide listening area. This material offers a dynamic sound while respecting tonal balance. In addition, a waveguide is placed in front of the dome for uniform high-frequency dispersion.
Magnat Monitor S: FE-Dynamics technology
The distinctive feature of the Magnat Monitor S range is the integration of proprietary FE-Dynamics technology. A large ferrite voice coil is combined with an aerated basket to ensure constant ventilation. This system limits signal loss and optimizes sound accuracy. The Magnat S10D pair of surround speakers is priced at €199. The Magnat S10B and Magnat S30 bookshelf speakers cost €179 and €299 respectively. The Magnat S70 and Magnat S80 ATM floorstanding speakers are available from Son-vidéo.com for €699. Finally, the Magnat S12C and Magnat S14C center speakers are available for €149 and €249 respectively.
Now I have listened to the Magnat Monitor S80 ATM speakers with the Yamaha RX-V457, AV. amplifier in 2-channel stereo mode and 4-channel stereo mode and 6-channel stereo mode and CinemaDSP modes! I listen to audio files and web radios of different genres and high-quality formats. These speakers are the speakers with the best music performance that I have ever listened to! At first, these speakers need to be played in for about 50-200 hours! At first, they seem to play relatively high, but after about 50 hours of playing in, all the lower tones and all the frequencies come out perfectly! I have not tried these speakers with an Atmos amplifier yet, but I can imagine how good the sound can be from these Atmos speakers, if the sound is already perfect! I have never heard a symphony so well before, where all the sounds come out beautifully! They play very well with all genres of music and probably with most amplifiers that have at least 4 channels so that you can also use Atmos speakers! This Atmos does not mean that these speakers would not play well without an Atmos amplifier! I also like to listen to these top Atmos speakers alone, because they also have very good sound when played alone! I have very good hearing of sound frequencies!
There are no more videos with different music tests about these speakers! I have very good hearing of sound frequencies and I have listened to the S30 bookshelf speakers of the same series and they are the best natural sounding and vocal speakers and very affordable at that! The best sounding bookshelf speakers I’ve ever heard! They are especially good with vintage amplifiers, but with many newer amplifiers you need a subwoofer at some point, but with “most music” these Magnats don’t! With the Technics SU-V470 PXS cap amplifier, these speakers have perfect sound with a wide amplitude\genre of music! I haven’t listened yet, but according to the technical data, both versions of the Monitor S70 and the Monitor ATM S80 seem good for listening to music. The S70 has frequency filters that cut off at a lower frequency and are 3-way but around 17Hz low, which is a very good indicator, but the ATM S80 is 2,5-way and the frequency filters cut off at a higher frequency and the low frequency is around 26Hz and in addition an Atmos speaker! Both are probably very good for listening to music, if you have the newer or older amplifier!
