Resembling a home-theater system thanks to the two wireless speakers included, Sony’s HT-AX7 soundbar could well become the perfect companion, no matter where you are. In your garden shed or in the back of the family van, this portable speaker offers many advantages.
What’s more, thanks to its detachable speakers, it can also be used in a large room, where you can place satellites in areas less exposed to the soundbar.
Sony HT-AX7 soundbar: 360° spatial sound
Although it’s not a Dolby Atmos or DTS:X bar, the Japanese brand is banking on 360° spatial sound and ease of use thanks to its simple, practical Bluetooth connection. It also uses a material made of 100% recycled bottles.
This new Sony release focuses on wireless connectivity, but is limited to Bluetooth SBC and AAC codecs. Unlike traditional soundbars, the Sony HT-AX7 doesn’t offer HDMI ARC, optical or even analog 3.5mm mini-jack inputs. Spatial audio is recreated via DSP, but its efficiency, portability and practicality prevail!
