Asian manufacturer Tonewinner offers a number of power amplifiers, including a full range designed specifically for home theater. It includes the following models: Tonewinner AD 5100 PA+, Tonewinner AD 8300 PA, Tonewinner AD 2500 PRO and Tonewinner AD 7300 PA+.

Tonewinner AD 5100 PA+ power amplifier

Priced at just €540, the Tonewinner AD 5100 PA+ power amp is your ticket into the brand’s world. This 5-channel model is capable of simultaneously delivering 105 watts of power into 8 ohms for each output. It is ideal for powering the surround or Atmos speakers of a home theater system. Its Class AB amplification uses five pairs of Toshiba transistors combined with a differential circuit to limit noise. Like all Tonewinner power amplifiers, it benefits from protection against overvoltage, overheating, overload, overcurrent and short-circuiting.

With its 5 x 105 watts into 8 ohms, the Tonewinner AD 5100 PA+ power amplifier is ideal for powering the main, surround or Atmos speakers of a home theater system.

Tonewinner AD 7300 PA+ power amplifier

To take things a step further, the Tonewinner AD 7300 PA+ power amp (€1,890) can power up to 7 channels. It can deliver class AB power ratings of 7 x 310 watts into 8 ohms, with imperceptible distortion. This incredible performance is made possible by the use of 42 (three pairs per channel) high-performance Onsemi NJW0281G and NJW0302G transistors. Enough to enjoy the thrills of movies, TV series, video games and music! Last but not least, it incorporates an attractive needle-type VU-meter with blue backlighting, identical to the one found on Advance Acoustics electronics.

Tonewinner AD 8300 PA power amplifier

Designed for the most comprehensive installations, the Tonewinner AD 8300 PA (€1,590) is an 11-channel power amp, perfect for a DTS:X and Dolby Atmos 5.2.4 or 7.1.3 system. This Tonewinner receiver is unique in that its output power is specifically calibrated for each channel. The left, right and center channels, which are the most heavily used in home theater, benefit from a very impressive 320 watts into 8 ohms. The other eight channels are rated at 150 watts into 8 ohms, perfect for surround speakers or vertical Atmos/DTS:X channels.

The Tonewinner AD 8300 PA features a power rating specifically calibrated for each channel, enabling its power to be efficiently distributed.

Tonewinner AD 2500 PRO power amplifier

With its two channels, the Tonewinner AD 2500 PRO power amplifier (€1,790) is dedicated to powering front speakers, whether for home theater or hi-fi use. It can deliver 2 x 500 watts into 8 ohms in class AB, enabling it to tame the most demanding cinema speakers. Its real strength lies in the integration of an oversized 1200-watt toroidal power transformer. The latter is combined with eight capacitors for a total capacity of 80,000 μF. As a result, it can reproduce film soundtracks with exceptional dynamic range and extremely responsive transient performance.

Tonewinner AT 200 preamplifier

The Tonewinner AT 200 AV processor opens the ball with its 13 channels. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatible, it can be used to create a 7.2.4, 9.2.2 or 5.2.6 system, for example. The six HDMI inputs and two outputs support 4K UHD streams up to 60Hz. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision standards are included for optimal display of wide dynamic range content. Acoustic calibration uses proprietary technology and the Tonewinner ETM-2 microphone, sold separately. In addition, a customizable equalization curve is available for each of the preamp’s input. Finally, it can be easily connected to any preamplifier thanks to its RCA and XLR outputs for each channel.

With its 13 channels, the Tonewinner AT 200 preamp ensures a highly immersive experience in 7.2.4, 9.2.2 or 5.2.6 channel Dolby Atmos.

Tonewinner AD 7300 HD preamplifier

The Tonewinner AD 7300 HD preamplifier is identical to the Tonewinner AT 200, with the exception of the video section, which now features HDMI 2.1 inputs and outputs. Compatibility remains the same, however, with support for 4K up to 60 fps, as well as HDR10+ and Dolby Vision programs. As with the AT 200, RCA and XLR outputs are available for all 13 channels.

The Tonewinner AD 7300 HD AV preamplifier provides HDMI 2.1 inputs and outputs for optimum support of UHD 4K HDR streams.

Tonewinner AT 300 preamplifier

The manufacturer’s most complete model, the Tonewinner AT 300 processor can process soundtracks on up to 16 channels. This makes it ideal for 9.3.4 or 7.3.6 DTS:X and Dolby Atmos installations. THX-certified, the Tonewinner AT 300 AV processor harnesses the full power of a dual Cirrus Logic CS42528 DAC coupled with an ADSP 21573 processor to fine-tune response curve, timbre and sound effects, ensuring a coherent, natural ambience. Finally, we find the same features as previous models, with UHD 4K, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compatibility, as well as RCA and XLR outputs for each channel.

Thanks to its 16 channels, the Tonewinner AT 300 preamp can be used to create a 9.3.4 or 7.3.6-channel DTS:X or Dolby Atmos system.
