The French hi-fi specialist and the car manufacturer unveil an exceptional new partnership. Limited to just 150 units worldwide, the Rimac Nevera electric hypercar features a Focal Utopia audio system with eight custom-designed drivers, powered by 660 watts of amplification.
Focal x Rimac Nevera, a prestigious partnership
With its strong presence in the car audio market, Focal has signed a prestigious new partnership. After the Focal T3Y range dedicated to Tesla vehicles, or the premium hi-fi system for the Peugeot E-3008, Focal is now equipping a new electric car. This time, the French hi-fi brand has teamed up with Rimac to integrate a Focal Utopia system on board the Nevera. It’s the world’s most powerful electric car with 1914 hp, an exceptional hypercar of which only 150 have been produced.
A tailor-made Focal Utopia system
To honor this prestigious partnership, Focal has designed a custom Utopia system. It is built around eight drivers. The center channel features a 3.5″ driver with an M “W” cone, surrounded by two midrange drivers using the same technology. In the door, they are combined with Utopia TBM Beryllium tweeters, a technology that has been tried and tested on the Focal Kanta and Focal Sopra speaker ranges. Two 6.5″ woofers provide the upper midrange, while bass is handled by a 7.9″ dual-coil subwoofer.
This set of drivers is powered by 660 watts of amplification. Here, each driver benefits from a dedicated amplification channel to maximize the performance and dynamics of the audio system, unlike the traditional passive crossover system. In this way, each driver can be fine-tuned for optimum performance.
