Once again this year, TCL spared no expense in making its presence felt at IFA 2024. Not only does the Chinese manufacturer want to dominate the mini LED TV market, it also wants to establish itself in the field of Lifestyle TVs and Dolby Atmos soundbars. Which new TCL 2024 products were announced at IFA? Read on to find out.

Taking advantage of the craze for very large TVs, TCL continues to offer its new references in XXL formats, such as the new Premium TCL X11H range (TCL X965 for France), offered in 98″ and 85″. All these new TCL TVs are also 144Hz 4K and VRR compatible to satisfy the most demanding gamers, on PC and Xbox Series X or PS5, including the TCL Lifestyle TCL NXT FRAME TV range.

The manufacturer also offers a full range of soundbars with up to 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos channels, to ensure a highly immersive experience for viewers.
TCL X11H QLED Mini LED Premium TV
Present at TCL’s IFA 2024 stand, the 115X955 Max, the largest Mini LED TV to date on the market, has had the spotlight stolen by the brand-new TCL X11H range, which will be marketed in France as the X965.

Presented in two screen sizes (85″/2.15m and 98″/2.49m), the TCL X11H, christened TCL X965 in France, features a QLED Pro panel as well as 6th generation Mini LED backlighting. As a reminder, these technologies, which we presented in our article TCL 2024 TVs: ultra-high-performance mini LEDs, are also found in the TCL C855 range (TCL C89B).

TCL X11H (TCL X965) TVs have their Mini LEDs positioned just two millimeters from the panel (OD2). Compared with other Mini LED TV ranges, where the backlight is set further back from the panel (typically 5 to 6 millimeters), this increases precision, optimizes contrast and almost completely eliminates halo effects.
With a peak brightness of 6,500 nits in HDR, 14,000 backlight zones for the 98″ and 10,000 zones for the 85″, this X11H series promises exceptional performance, with very deep blacks and rich, intense colors.

In terms of sound, the manufacturer has integrated BO’s Dolby Atmos 6.2.2-channel audio system. With four front, two side and two vertical speakers on top of the screen, supported by two woofers on the back of the panel, immersion should be optimal. What’s more, the TCL X11H range supports the Tutti Choral feature, enabling the TV to be paired with a compatible TCL soundbar, their respective drivers then diffusing sound simultaneously to enhance spatial imaging and dialogue clarity.
The TCL 85X11H (TCL 85X965) and TCL 98X11H (TCL 85X965) TVs will hit the market in the last quarter of 2024. The manufacturer has not yet communicated on prices, but they should be comparable to those of the TCL X955 series at launch, so around €2,990 for the 85″ and €7,990 for the 98″ (indicative prices, subject to change).
New 144Hz 4K TCL C765 range
This is the other surprise unveiled by the Chinese manufacturer at IFA 2024. The announcement of a new, more affordable TV range with tempting specs: the TCL C765 series.
Available in five image sizes, from 55″/139 cm to 98″/249cm across, this new range has many of the features of the current C855/C89B series, which impressed us during our test.

These TVs feature an HVA (Hybrid Vertical Alignment) screen, an evolution of IPS technology that aims to combine the advantages of IPS (viewing angles, colors) and VA (contrast) panels to deliver a more balanced viewing experience.
Mini LED backlighting, combined with latest-generation QLED Pro (Quantum Dots) technology, ensures brightness peaks announced at 2,400 nits in HDR. This ensures optimal viewing of 4K HDR content, especially as these TVs are IMAX Enhanced certified and compatible with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision IQ.
Naturally, these next-genTVs support 4K at up to 144Hz via their HDMI 2.1 ports, with low latency (ALLM), and are VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro compatible.
As for sound, TCL has renewed its partnership with Onkyo, which equips these TVs with a 2.1-channel audio system compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X.
The TCL C765 range should be on sale by the end of the year at the following prices:
- TCL 55C765: €1,099
- TCL 65C765: €1,199
- TCL 75C765: €1,499
- TCL 85C765 : €2,499
- TCL 98C765 : €3,499
TCL soundbars: Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 channels, 860 watts of power
Although the majority of TCL TVs are equipped with Dolby Atmos and DTS-compatible audio systems, the manufacturer’s catalog also includes a number of soundbars designed to enhance sound immersion. Unveiled last July, the TCL Q75H and TCL Q85H soundbars featured prominently at the manufacturer’s stand. They feature VRR and ALLM-compatible HDMI inputs for gaming, with an HDMI eARC port to simplify connection to the TV.

Visitors were able to experience the 7.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos spatialization of the TCL Q85H model. It comprises a soundbar with three front channels, including a center channel for dialogue, complemented by two lateral surround channels featuring RayDanz waveguide technology, and two vertical drivers. It is accompanied by a wireless subwoofer and two wireless surround speakers with vertical drivers. The whole system can be precisely calibrated via the dedicated app (AI Sonic Adaptation) to adapt the sound to the characteristics of the room.
Demonstrations in Dolby Atmos and DTS:X in the dedicated listening room convinced us of the effectiveness of this powerful, detailed and precise multichannel system.

The Tutti Choral technology implemented on these wireless home theaters, which ensures that the soundbar’s drivers work in perfect symbiosis with those of the TV, is already present on the TCL X11H (X965) and TCL C855 (C89B) TVs.
Priced at €899, this TCL Q85H wireless home theater is in direct competition with the LG S95QR and Samsung HW-Q995D models.

Offering 5.1.2-channel sound, the TCL Q75H actually consists of the same soundbar and wireless subwoofer as the TCL Q85H system, without the surround speakers. Priced at €699, the system delivers 620 watts of power.
These two Dolby Atmos soundbars are due to go on sale in the last quarter of this year.
Dolby Atmos Flex Connect news
Unveiled last summer, Dolby Atmos Flex Connect technology made a strong impression on us at IFA 2023. Although absent from the TCL stand this year, the manufacturer assured us that it was still on the cards, and that Dolby Atmos Flex Connect-certified TCL speakers should be on the market in the first half of 2025.
