Epson has just unveiled a new range of high-end 4K 3LCD laser projectors: the Epson Q series. This includes three references: the Epson EH-QB1000 home theater projector and the Epson EH-QL3000 and Epson EH-QL7000 professional projectors.

Epson Q Series projectors

Epson’s Q series projectors are high-end models designed for the most discerning home theater enthusiasts, gamers and professionals. These three high-performance models combine the manufacturer’s 3LCD technology with HDR and 120Hz 4K content compatibility, for low-latency gaming. They offer very high brightness, for projecting onto very large screens (up to 300″/7.6m), and feature numerous advanced settings options.

“Our new line of ultra-premium, high-brightness Q Series laser projectors exemplifies Epson’s commitment to producing superior entertainment solutions,” said Melvin Diaz, senior product manager, Epson America, Inc. “Q Series projectors exceed performance, efficiency and size standards and deliver immersive large-screen entertainment inside and beyond traditional theaters, creating unlimited integration possibilities for home entertainment system design.”

Epson EH-QB1000

Aimed at demanding home theater enthusiasts, the Epson EH-QB1000 projects a true 4K UHD image (8.29 million pixels thanks to Epson’s 4K Display Technology interpolation process) and supports HDR10+ content. Its trio of 3LCD chips is combined with a powerful laser lamp offering a maximum brightness of 3,300 ISO lumens and a 20,000-hour life. UltraBlack technology, the Epson QZX image processor and the Epson VRX Cinema lens guarantee exceptional contrast, color accuracy and image clarity.

Brighter than the ever-popular Epson EH-TW9400, as well as the Epson EH-LS11000W and the Epson EH-LS12000B 4K laser projectors whose chassis it shares, it’s also more powerful in terms of image processing, and is a great opportunity to upgrade your home theater system.

The Epson EH-QB1000 4K laser projector features two HDMI 2.1 ports with 120Hz 4K compatibility for gaming on latest-generation consoles and PCs.

At the heart of this projector is the exclusive 32-bit Epson QZX image processor, which manages color, dynamic contrast, HDR, frame interpolation, dynamic tone mapping and resolution super-sampling in real time, to faithfully reproduce the source image as the director intended.

For ease of installation, the Epson EH-QB1000 4K laser projector features motorized lens shift on three axes. What’s more, the Epson EH-QB1000 is particularly well suited to video games, supporting them up to 4K at 120 frames per second. It is also compatible with automatic low-latency mode (ALLM), and offers an input latency of less than 20 ms. Enough to take full advantage of the latest video game consoles and even the most advanced gaming PCs.

Epson EH-QL3000 and Epson EH-QL7000

The Epson EH-QL3000 and Epson EH-QL7000 projectors are specifically designed for integrators, architects and interior designers who create large-screen entertainment systems for large venues. Marketed without lenses, they adopt the same angular chassis and are compatible with all Epson premium lenses, enabling them to be precisely configured for each installation.

Both 4K HDR10 models feature a thermally controlled 3LCD triple chip with Double Micro-Lens Array technology. This enables them to display the full 8.29 million pixels of 4K images on a screen up to 300 inches (7.62m) across. The brightness of the Epson EH-QL3000 reaches 6,000 ISO lumens, while that of the Epson EH-QL7000 is announced at 10,000 ISO lumens.

Compatible with 120Hz 4K and HDR10+, the Epson EH-QL3000 and Epson EH-QL7000 projectors feature HDMI 2.1 connectors and can be controlled via various home automation protocols.

Thanks to the Epson QZX image processor, these projectors optimize brightness, color accuracy and black contrast to faithfully display content as the director intended. In terms of integration, both models are certified for use with leading home automation control systems, including Control4 and Crestron. Finally, these Epson EH-QL3000 and Epson EH-QL7000 projectors are also 4K HDR compatible up to 120Hz with low input lag, so you can enjoy smooth, responsive gameplay.
