Calling all LEGO collectors and fans of Middle-earth! After Rivendell and Barad-dûr, LEGO continues its adventures in Tolkien’s universe with the town of Hobbiton. To mark the release of this new set, the Danish toy company has unveiled a mini-film revisiting the beginning of The Fellowship of the Ring, narrated by actor Sean Astin.
This beautifully executed stop-motion short recreates one of the film’s iconic scenes, followed by a discovery of the LEGO set with the actor.
American actor Sean Astin has appeared in many cult films and series over the years, including 1985’s The Goonies and, more recently, the Netflix series Stranger Things. Among his most notable roles is that of the stout-hearted and loyal Hobbit Samwise Gamgee in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, this highly detailed LEGO The Shire kit recreates the festive atmosphere of Bilbo Baggins’ 111th birthday party. It features 2,000 pieces and will be available on April 5 for 269.99 euros.
