Never short on innovation, Chinese manufacturer FiiO has unveiled the FiiO SA1, a pair of wireless hi-fi speakers priced at €199. Compact and versatile, they are the ideal solution for a desktop audio system. The FiiO SA1 active speakers are Bluetooth LDAC compatible, and feature connectors for a wide range of digital and analog sources, and even a subwoofer.

A 2-way design for balance
The FiiO SA1 2-way bass-reflex active speakers feature Texas Instruments class D amplification, with a bi-amplification of 20W for the midbass driver and 5W for the tweeter. The total power output is 50W, enough for a small living room or office.
The main driver, with a diameter of 5″, adopts a wood fiber cone. This material contributes to a warm, organic reproduction of the midrange and low frequencies. The 0.75″ aluminum-magnesium alloy tweeter ensures clear, precise high-frequency reproduction. The overall frequency response ranges from 65Hz to 20kHz.
FiiO SA1: Bluetooth LDAC for wireless HD listening
The FiiO SA1 active speakers feature a Bluetooth 5.4 chip supporting the SBC and AAC codecs, but above all the LDAC codec. The latter enables high-resolution wireless broadcasting at up to 24-bit/96kHz. It offers a transmission rate of up to 990 kbps, almost three times faster than conventional Bluetooth. This compatibility ensures more accurate wireless sound, particularly suited to studio-quality audio files.

Wide range of connectors
With their compact size and USB-C audio input, the FiiO SA1 hi-fi wireless speakers can be installed on any desk. The integrated USB DAC supports streams up to 32-bit/96kHz, bypassing a computer’s internal sound card. A particularly interesting configuration when working from home, listening to music or gaming, where sound precision plays an important role.
In addition to the USB input, the FiiO SA1 features a full range of connectors. The RCA input can be switched to phono mode, allowing you to connect a turntable, whether or not it has an RIAA preamp. This versatility will delight vinyl lovers, who won’t need any additional equipment.

The SA1 also features an optical input (24-bit/96kHz), a coaxial input (24-bit/192kHz) and a 3.5mm mini-jack input. A dedicated output allows you to connect a subwoofer to extend the bass response below 65Hz. The whole system can be controlled via the infrared remote control supplied with the speakers.
The FiiO SA1 wireless hi-fi speakers complete the brand’s range of desktop speakers, which already includes the SP3 and SP5 models. With their compact design, dual amplification and extensive connectivity, the FiiO SA1 speakers are a versatile, affordable hi-fi solution at under €200 that should delight music lovers looking for an audio setup for their office.
