In the highly competitive premium MiniLED TV market, color accuracy has become a real differentiating factor. With its new generation of RGB MiniLEDs unveiled at CES 2026, Hisense aims to consolidate its technological lead. With cutting-edge innovation and by making its range more accessible, the brand is refining its strategy to dominate this rapidly expanding segment.

A new benchmark with 116UXS and MiniLED evo RGB architecture
The flagship 116UXS model represents the most advanced expression of Hisense’s approach to colorimetry. Featuring a new-generation RGB MiniLED backlight called “evo”, this TV introduces a fourth primary color: cyan. The addition of this hue, located in an area of the spectrum to which the human eye is particularly sensitive, enables a more natural reproduction of gradations, shadows and transitions.

Thanks to this quadrichromatic architecture and the fine management of backlight zones by the Hi-View AI Engine RGB processor, the 116UXS covers up to 110% of the BT.2020 color space. Combined with a borderless, slim (1.57″ thick) design and Devialet’s 6.2.2 audio system, the result is complete immersion in image and sound.
This extraordinary TV is due to go on sale for €14,999 sometime in 2026.
More accessible technology with the UR9 and UR8 series
In addition to its high-end TVs, Hisense is making RGB MiniLED more accessible by integrating it into the new UR9 and UR8 series. These ranges include TVs from 55 to 100 inches and benefit from the precise rendering and controlled saturation inaugurated by the previous model. The aim is clear: to offer a better-performing alternative to conventional premium TVs, with more accurate colors, even in bright environments and during fast-moving scenes.
The brand also focuses on the user experience, with a minimalist design and an optimized audio system, while maintaining a more accessible price level. This strategy aims to make RGB MiniLED technology attractive to a wider audience, without sacrificing performance.
An accelerated innovation strategy
Hisense insists on its ability to innovate rapidly and industrialize its technological advances ahead of its competitors. The rapid evolution of RGB MiniLED is a case in point: after being the first to launch this technology in 2025, the brand is already offering an improved and extended version, just one year after its first appearance.
As Ondre Clarke, TV product marketing manager at Hisense USA, points out:
We’re bringing advanced technologies to market faster, scaling them sooner and making them accessible to more homes.
This drive for continuous innovation reinforces Hisense’s position as one of the most active players in the large TV sector.

Committed to offering users the latest technologies, Hisense also plans to integrate Dolby Vision 2 support into its 2026 series RGB MiniLED TVs, including the UX, UR9, and UR8 models, with an expansion to other MiniLED TVs planned via a future OTA update.
Summary
With the evolution of its RGB MiniLED technology, Hisense is demonstrating a clear commitment to combining performance and affordability. The 116UXS model offers benchmark picture quality with its novel quadrichromatic structure, while the UR9 and UR8 series make this innovation more affordable. By accelerating the pace of development and distribution of its innovations, the brand is confirming its leading role in the television market. This momentum could well redefine expectations in terms of image quality for years to come.
