Since launching its first network players, Eversolo has established itself as one of the most active manufacturers in terms of software updates. The Chinese brand regularly adds new features to its devices, sometimes several years after their release. The latest OTA update, v1.5.90, released in July 2026, reaffirms this philosophy once again. Rolled out across the brand’s DMP and PLAY series as well as its digital transports, this new version introduces no fewer than 9 new features, 21 optimizations, and 5 bug fixes, with a particular focus on the music library, sound calibration, and user experience.

Even more effective Evotune Pro acoustic correction

The main new feature concerns Evotune Pro, Eversolo’s proprietary acoustic correction system. This new version improves measurement procedures, filter calculations, and optimization capabilities to achieve more precise correction of the listening room. The interface now provides clearer guidance to the user through the various calibration steps and utilizes calibration files from compatible microphones to increase measurement accuracy. The goal remains the same: to reduce the influence of room acoustics for an even more precise and accurate listening experience.

The new version of Evotune Pro refines acoustic correction with more accurate measurements, optimized filters, and an improved calibration wizard to fine-tune the system even further to match your listening room.

New vintage-style VU meters

Highly popular with users, the virtual VU meters continue to evolve. This update adds several new themes inspired by vintage hi-fi equipment, featuring different colors and needle styles. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these new displays allow for even greater customization of the Eversolo players’ playback screen, which, through successive updates, has become one of the most comprehensive on the market.

The new VU meters enhance the Eversolo interface with several designs inspired by vintage hi-fi equipment, offering more customization options while enhancing the visual enjoyment of every listening experience.

CD ripping is becoming even more comprehensive

Owners of a USB CD player or the EverSolo DMP-A8 Master Edition Gen 2, which features a built-in CD player, also benefit from significant improvements to the ripping module. The software now offers multiple ripping strategies, precise adjustment of the playback offset, various levels of FLAC compression, a ripping history, and more reliable retrieval of album art and album information. This transforms EverSolo players into true music digitization stations that are more efficient than ever.

The CD ripping module offers greater precision and flexibility with advanced settings and enhanced metadata retrieval, allowing you to digitize your music collection under the best possible conditions.

A completely revamped music library

Another major development is that the music library’s internal architecture has been thoroughly redesigned. This overhaul improves both indexing speed and performance when browsing very large music collections. Albums load faster, artist rankings are more relevant, and searches are more responsive. Several additional optimizations also improve the management of music genres, artist scanning, and the global search engine.

Users can now refresh their library simply by swiping down on the list. This feature allows you to immediately start reindexing your files without having to navigate through various menus—a significant time saver when new albums have just been copied to internal storage or a NAS.

The EverSolo music library has been fully optimized to provide faster indexing, smoother navigation through large music collections, and instant updates for new files.

A smoother streaming experience

Eversolo is also introducing a new experimental feature called Cached Streaming Playback. When enabled, part of the music stream is cached locally to minimize interruptions on unstable Wi-Fi networks or during minor fluctuations in bandwidth. The playback screen now displays a progress bar that clearly distinguishes between sections that have already been played, are cached, or are still waiting to load. This visual representation makes it easier to monitor the streaming status in real time.

The new buffering feature improves streaming stability on less reliable networks.

Numerous background optimizations

In addition to these visible new features, Eversolo is also announcing 21 optimizations, including improvements to acoustic correction performance, SMB sharing, the CD ripping module, network playback, favorites management, global search, the display of album information during CD playback, the loading of very large playlists, and the sorting of artists and genres in the music library.

Finally, five fixes improve overall stability by addressing, in particular, occasional LMS server crashes, issues with refreshing certain streaming services after a session expires, and a few bugs related to playlists and playback queue management.

With 9 new features, 21 optimizations, and 5 bug fixes, this OTA update (v1.5.90) once again demonstrates Eversolo’s commitment to continuously improving its streamers.

Software updates that become a true signature

With this OTA update v1.5.90, Eversolo continues to improve its players long after their release. This ongoing development strategy contributes significantly to the success of the brand’s devices and further enhances their value over time. This new update is now available and is offered automatically when the devices are started up.
