As the world’s only manufacturer of OLED displays for the consumer OLED TV market (the Korean company supplies displays to Panasonic, Philips and Sony), LG has introduced a comprehensive OLED TV catalog for 2020 with no less than 6 different ranges, including an Ultra High Definition 8K range and an exceptional model with a rollable OLED screen!

The crown jewel of the Korean manufacturer’s range of OLED televisions, the colossal LG OLED88ZX 8K OLED TV’s screen is mounted on a specially designed cabinet that features a powerful 80 watt 4.2 channel soundbar.

What is OLED?

As a quick reminder, OLED technology differs from LCD LED and QLED in that it uses auto-emissive pixel panels that generate their own light. OLED TVs therefore don’t require backlighting and when a pixel is turned off, it is completely black. Thanks to these characteristics, OLED TVs can provide unrivalled contrast with deep blacks and no blooming or halo effects when a bright object is displayed on the screen. Consequently, OLED TVs are ideal for movies and series and offer exceptional cinematographic performance.
