Focal Electra car audio system
The DS 9 embodies luxury “à la française”, combining power, comfort and a hybrid engine with up to 360 hp. To enhance this First Class experience, the premium Focal Electra hi-fi system has been carefully designed and integrated. The DS and Focal teams worked hand in hand to define the custom locations for each speaker, guaranteeing sensational sound immersion for all passengers.
The Focal car audio system features three exclusive technologies: the Polyglass cone, TNF tweeter and Power Flower subwoofer. With its 14 speakers, including four 6.5″ Polyglass midbass drivers, a 3″ Polyglass center speaker, four inverted-dome tweeters, a 7.9″ subwoofer integrated into the rear deck, and satellite channels using two 3″ Polyglass midrange drivers and two inverted-dome tweeters, every passenger is immersed in the heart of the music.
The Focal car audio system offers precise, balanced sound, combining controlled, dynamic infra-bass with rich treble. The 12-channel active amplification, rated at 515 watts and driven by a hybrid technology with class AB pre-amplification and a class D power stage, allows precise control of this system.
Thanks to features such as acoustic glazing and heat-sealed casings that eliminate vibrations, the interior becomes a pleasant sound environment. Specific sound processing and the use of two-way rear channels create an enveloping, detailed, stable and precise soundstage, with particular attention paid to rear passengers.
Focal x DS: elegance and performance
The design of the Focal system on board the DS 9 matches the sedan’s refined interior. With its Opéra, Rivoli and Bastille variants, distinguished by the use of premium materials such as grained leather, watch-making and crystal elements, acoustic comfort is another key element.
