Yamaha, a world-renowned specialist in the world of home theater and high fidelity, unveils a new wireless home theater system with the Yamaha True X Bar 50A. It consists of the Yamaha SR-X40A soundbar and the SW-X100A wireless subwoofer.

Yamaha SR-X40A soundbar: Dolby Atmos compatible

The cornerstone of the True X Bar 50A wireless home theater system, the Yamaha SR-X40A soundbar features 6 drivers. Two full-range drivers are present on the front, combined with two woofers. Two up-firing drivers for Atmos effects complete the audio installation. Each driver is powered by 30 watts of amplification, for a total of 180 watts.

To deliver the most immersive audio experience, the Yamaha SR-X40A soundbar is compatible with Dolby Atmos tracks. Two drivers diffuse sound effects upwards. The ceiling reflects the sound to create a real sound bubble around the spectators. What’s more, the integrated DSP offers 5 specific modes for optimized listening according to the content.

Yamaha SR-X40A soundbar: connectivity and voice control

What’s more, the Yamaha SR-X40A soundbar stands out for its versatility. It features Amazon Alexa voice control, Bluetooth (SBC, AAC) and WiFi wireless connectivity. The AirPlay 2 protocol is also included for integration into a multi-room installation. In terms of connectors, the Yamaha SR-X40A Atmos soundbar features an HDMI input, an HDMI eARC input, an optical input and an Ethernet port.

Home theater enthusiasts looking for a more immersive sound experience can reinforce the soundbar’s bass with the Yamaha SW-X100A subwoofer to create the True X Bar 50A wireless home theater system. Thanks to its 6.3″ driver and front port, it gives movies and TV series even more impact.

Note that the Japanese manufacturer has announced the forthcoming release of Yamaha WS-X1A surround speakers. Users will be able to create a 4.1.2-channel wireless system in their living room! With the same look as the Yamaha WS-B1A portable Bluetooth speakers, they can also be used on the go, thanks to a 12-hour battery life and IP67 certification.

With its True X system, Yamaha offers a complete wireless home theater installation with the Yamaha SR-X40A Atmos soundbar, Yamaha SW-X100A subwoofer and two Yamaha WS-X1A surround speakers.

Yamaha SR-X40A soundbars start at €599, and Yamaha SW-X100A subwoofers at €349. Together, the wireless home theater system is priced at €899. Yamaha WS-X1A surround speakers are due to arrive this summer at €169 each.
