Norwegian manufacturer Hegel renews its hi-fi bestseller with the new Hegel H190v amp. Its 2 x 150W class AB amplification is combined with a Hi-Res DAC, full connectivity and network functions to cover every need.

Hegel H190v: audiophile design

Launched in 2017, the Hegel H190 amplifier has established itself as the brand’s true bestseller thanks to its ability to combine high power, functionality and musicality. The new Hegel H190v refines the formula with an even more elaborate design. It all starts with the use of a large toroidal transformer combined with a second power supply specifically dedicated to the pre-amplifier and DAC. The polarized class AB power stage can deliver up to 2 x 150W into 8 ohms and 2 x 250W into 4 ohms, with a damping factor of over 4,000. An impressive figure that many dedicated power amps struggle to match. The Hegel H190 is therefore capable of enhancing many pairs of speakers, both bookshelf and floorstanding.

With its audiophile components, oversized power supply and damping factor of 4,000, the Hegel H190v amplifier is guaranteed to make any pair of speakers sing.

Hegel H190v: 24-bit/192kHz DAC

To make the most of digital sources, the Hegel H190v amplifier is equipped with a 24-bit/192kHz compatible DAC. It allows Hi-Res tracks to be played directly from a computer or smartphone, thanks to its asynchronous USB-B port. The internal clock developed by Rotel eliminates jitter, resulting in more precise and natural reproduction. In addition, one coaxial and three optical (24-bit/96kHz) inputs make it easy to connect a CD player, TV or network player, for example.

Thanks to its integrated DAC, the Hegel H190v amplifier plays Hi-Res music at up to 24-bit/192kHz.

Hegel H190v: network player

Like its predecessor, the Hegel H190v amplifier can play music wirelessly thanks to the integration of AirPlay and DLNA/UPnP protocols. In addition, the new version supports Spotify Connect, allowing you to enjoy tracks from the Swedish platform directly. Finally, it is Roon Ready certified, ensuring optimum compatibility with the Roon ecosystem.

The Hegel H190v amplifier’s integrated network player lets you listen to music via AirPlay, DLNA/UPnP, Spotify Connect and Roon.

Hegel H190v: full connectivity

Located on the rear panel, the Hegel H190v amp features five digital inputs (3 optical, one coaxial and one USB-B), as well as two unbalanced RCA inputs and one balanced XLR input. The Hegel H190v 2024 also features a phono input for a turntable with MM cartridge. Finally, fixed and variable RCA outputs make it easy to connect a power amp or subwoofer, for example. Conveniently, the Hegel H190v also features a 6.3mm headphone output with a dedicated high-quality headphone amplifier so you can enjoy music without disturbing those around you.

Thanks to its many analog and digital inputs, the Hegel H190v amp can easily be connected to all sources in a modern hi-fi system.

With the new Hegel H190v, the Norwegian manufacturer renews its legendary amplifier, incorporating its latest audio developments and extending the possibilities for getting the most out of any music, whether played from an analog, digital or even wireless source. This exceptional model is now available for pre-order on Son-Vidéo.com for €3,795. First deliveries are scheduled for May 2024.
