At the 2024 edition of IFA, Xgimi unveiled a series of new products that were sure to attract the interest of projection enthusiasts. Of particular interest were the Xgimi MoGo 3 Pro, Xgimi Horizon S Max and Xgimi Aura 2 projectors. Each boasting innovative technologies and an attractive design, they promise to enhance the home entertainment experience, combining portability, image quality and audio performance. Let’s find out more about these three flagship models, which are redefining the world of projectors for the coming year.

Xgimi MoGo 3 Pro

This projector has been designed for unrivaled portability and versatility. Lightweight (1.1kg) and compact (20cm high, 15cm in diameter) to take with you wherever you go, at home or outside, it features a tilting stand (130°) for wall or ceiling mounting. You can even add an optional stand with a built-in battery for up to 2.5 hours of autonomy!
The Xgimi MoGo 3 Pro’s LED lamp delivers 450 ISO lumens to project Full HD 1080p images up to 3m (120 inches) across. Xgimi’s ISA 2.0 image correction technology ensures quick and easy installation every time. It automatically adjusts image geometry (keystone correction), focuses, avoids obstacles and perfectly aligns the image on the screen. It even protects users’ eyes by turning off the light beam if anyone stands in front of the lens.

As for sound, the drivers integrated into the base are by Harman/Kardon and feature 2 x 5-watt amplification for 360° sound diffusion.
Finally, the Xgimi MoGo 3 Pro is the manufacturer’s first projector to use Google TV, with native support for Netflix and the ability to install popular streaming apps such as Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV+, YouTube…

Already presented with the EISA 2024 award for Best Portable Projector, the Xgimi MoGo 3 Pro is priced at €499 on its own, and €579 with its Xgimi PowerBase stand.
The latter can be purchased separately for €129. A carrying case is also available for €69.
Xgimi Horizon S Max

The Xgimi Horizon S Max takes its design cues from the magnificent Xgimi Horizon Ultra, with its fabric-covered motorized lens cover, and is equipped with an integrated stand that lets you adjust the projection angle up to 135° vertically and 360° horizontally.
Its Intelligent Screen Adaption 5.0 system adjusts the image automatically and almost instantaneously (keystone correction, focus and screen alignment) as soon as it is switched on, to make installation as simple as possible.

This 4K Ultra HD Xgimi Horizon S Max projector is IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision certified, promising exceptional visual immersion. Its Dual Light 2.0 technology (Laser + RGB LED) ensures 3000 lumens of brightness and 99% DCI-P3 coverage, guaranteeing precise, vivid colors.

As for audio, the Xgimi Horizon S Max incorporates two Harman Kardon drivers, each rated at 12 watts, offering immersive 360° sound, and supports Dolby Audio and DTS HD content. The projector also features an HDMI eARC port, facilitating connection to an external sound system for those seeking a more advanced audio experience.
The Xgimi Horizon S Max runs on Android TV 11.0, providing access to a vast library of apps, including Prime Video and YouTube. Its HDMI port can be used to connect a media player or video game console. It also offers two USB ports and wireless connectivity options such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The Xgimi Horizon S Max will retail at €1,999.
Xgimi Aura 2

Successor to the Xgimi Aura, the Xgimi Aura 2 also benefits from the aesthetic codes of the Xgimi Horizon Ultra. It features a fabric-covered automatic lens cover that protects the lens from dust and scratches, ensuring its durability.

The Xgimi Aura 2 is an ultra-short-throw 4K laser projector designed to transform the bedroom or living room into a private cinema. It boasts an impressive brightness of 2,300 lumens thanks to Dual Light 2.0 technology (laser + RGB LED) and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum used in digital movie theaters. Certified IMAX Enhanced, HDR10 and Dolby Vision, it promises a superb visual experience, in line with the director’s vision.
Note that this projector offers low latency in gaming mode (20 ms) to guarantee maximum responsiveness on the latest games, which are supported up to 60Hz 4K definition.

The Xgimi Aura 2 projects a 2.5m (100″) image just 17.8cm from the wall. Installation is extremely simple thanks to its auto-focus and continuous keystone correction features, guaranteeing a perfectly aligned image. What’s more, flattening correction and wall color adaptation automatically adjust the image to the projection surface, optimizing display quality on different types of wall.
The Harman Kardon audio section of the Xgimi Aura 2 includes four drivers, each rated at 15 watts, for a total output of 60 watts. They support Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD audio tracks, ensuring a true home theater experience with deep bass and clear dialogue.

Running on Android TV 11.0, the Xgimi Aura 2 provides access to a wide range of apps via Google Play. The fluid, intuitive interface also incorporates a Chromecast feature, making it easy to stream content from a smartphone or tablet directly to the projector.
There are three HDMI ports, one of which is eARC-compatible to ensure optimum audio quality with a home theater AV receiver. There are also three USB ports for connecting various peripherals. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 compatibility guarantees fast, stable wireless connectivity for streaming or connecting wireless accessories.
