Following the imposing Bromley 450 and Bromley 750, Marshall is adding to its range of party speakers with the new Marshall Bromley 150. Significantly more compact and lightweight than its bigger siblings, this portable Bluetooth speaker retains the family’s key features: 360° sound diffusion, built-in lighting, inputs for microphones and instruments, a very long battery life, and a splash-resistant design. Priced at €449, it aims to capture the spirit of a true party speaker in a format that is much easier to carry around.
A party speaker that’s easier to carry
Unveiled in late September 2026, the Marshall Bromley 150 is the most compact model in the British manufacturer’s range of party speakers. It features the same basic design as the Bromley 450 and 750, but in a significantly smaller format: 29 cm wide and tall, and 20.8 cm deep. It also weighs just 6.3 kg, compared to over 12 kg for the Bromley 450 and almost 24 kg for the Bromley 750.
The manufacturer states that the cabinet is made from FSC-certified wood, which accounts for approximately 23% of the product’s weight. The corners are protected by flexible TPU reinforcements, while a silicone cover protects the connectors and battery. Several elements—including the grille, handle, knobs, corner guards, and battery cover—are also advertised as replaceable to facilitate long-term maintenance of the speaker.

360° stereo sound
Despite its more compact size, the Marshall Bromley 150 speaker features a true stereo configuration. It uses the brand’s proprietary 360° True Stereophonic technology, which is already found in other models in the series. Drivers are positioned at the front and back of the speaker to distribute sound more evenly throughout the room or around the device. The goal is to minimise the presence of a single sweet spot and allow everyone at a party to enjoy a similar listening experience, regardless of their position.
To achieve this sound dispersion, the Marshall Bromley 150 combines a 6.5″ woofer with two 1.9″ full-range transducers. A large 7.5″ passive radiator completes the system to extend the bass response without excessively increasing the cabinet’s volume. This acoustic section is paired with three class D amplifiers: a 90-watt module for the woofer and two 55-watt amplifiers for the full-range drivers. Marshall specifies a frequency response ranging from 42 Hz to 20 kHz, as well as a maximum sound level of 97 dB at one metre. These figures logically place the Bromley 150 below the more expensive models. The Bromley 450 can reach 100 dB, while the spectacular Bromley 750 peaks at 127 dB at one metre. The new model is therefore better suited for house parties, patios, gardens, or on-the-go use than for events in very large spaces.

Built-in lighting effects
The grille of the Marshall Bromley 150 speaker conceals a lighting system designed to complement the music and enhance the atmosphere of a party. Three lighting modes are available, with animations whose intensity and behaviour can change in time with the music. Marshall says it drew inspiration from the lighting systems used at concerts to create more of a small-stage feel rather than that of a simple Bluetooth speaker.

The control panel allows you to adjust these effects directly, in addition to volume, playback, source selection, and equalisation. On the Bromley 150, Marshall has moved the interface to the side to fully free up the front panel for the drivers and lighting effects. Bass and treble controls also let you directly adjust the sound balance without having to use a smartphone.

Microphone, guitar, and karaoke
The range of connectors is also one of the main differences between the Bromley 150 and a traditional Bluetooth speaker. Two XLR/6.35 mm combo jacks allow you to connect microphones or instruments. This makes it possible to use the Bromley 150 for a karaoke session, an impromptu rehearsal, or to directly amplify a guitar, keyboard, or any other compatible instrument. Each input has its own volume and effects controls on the control panel. The speaker also features a 3.5 mm mini-jack auxiliary input and output, as well as a USB-C port.

Bluetooth 5.3, Auracast, and multipoint connectivity
Naturally, Bluetooth remains the primary playback source. The Marshall Bromley 150 features a Bluetooth 5.3 module compatible with the SBC, AAC, and LC3 codecs. It also supports Auracast, a technology based on Bluetooth LE Audio that allows the same audio stream to be broadcast to multiple compatible devices. This feature could be useful for setting up larger systems with several compatible speakers. Multipoint connectivity is also supported, allowing you to keep multiple devices paired simultaneously. Marshall also claims a range of up to 70 metres in an open space, though this distance will naturally be reduced by walls and obstacles in real-world use. The various settings can be adjusted via the Marshall Bluetooth app.

Over 40 hours of battery life
Exceptionally long battery life is one of the Bromley family’s main selling points, and the new 150 is no exception. Marshall claims over 40 hours of playback on a single charge—enough to last several days before you need to find a power outlet. A full charge takes about three hours, but a quick 20-minute charge provides up to five hours of battery life. Even more interestingly, Marshall uses a removable battery. This means it can be replaced when it reaches the end of its lifespan or swapped out for a second, fully charged battery to extend the speaker’s runtime. It can also be removed and charged separately.

With the Bromley 150, Marshall brings the essence of its Bromley line into a format that’s highly practical for everyday use. The 360° True Stereophonic sound, synchronized lighting, two mic/instrument inputs, and battery life of over 40 hours are all still included, but in a speaker weighing just 6.3 kg that can easily be carried in one hand. The acoustic power and bass extension are, understandably, less impressive than with the much larger Bromley 450 and 750, but this trade-off might actually make this new version more versatile. It seems better suited for apartments, small gatherings, outdoor patios, or weekend use, while still offering enough features to occasionally double as a karaoke system or a small powered speaker.
